Thread Topic: How do you find your style?

I’ve been trying to get good at art recently since all my life I’ve been bad at it and I have no idea what to draw and when I show it to people they don’t know what to expect and ask “why does your art change every time? Are you tracing?” So I’ve trying to find a style and keep up with it so I don’t get asked the same questions every week so if you don’t mind please tell me how to find a style or how you found yours

It really depends. I was the same a few years ago. My art style was constantly changing and I couldn't stick to one style. Over time, my style started becoming more fluent, and now here I am, with the same style I've had for nearly two years.
It's personal preference, I guess you can say. Try and find a style that you like and stick to it. Get good at drawing in that style, and maybe change it up a bit if you aren't satisfied. Take your time in finding your style and practice whenever you can. No one gets good in a few days.
I suggest drawing your own OC's first, or even just drawing random s--- that comes to mind. That's how I started out. -
Your style will form over time, as you learn and grow, as you learn new things and implement them into your work. You will never have just one style. You may draw people one way, but animals another, and landscapes yet another way. The only person who can tell you how to draw is yourself. I've been drawing for years now, and even so I can look at my drawing from just last year and see a noticeable difference in y styles between now and then. Change is natural, and will happen. If you try to force yourself to sticking to one way of drawing or thinking, you will fail to improve in areas that need it.

as you start ur art style, its a good idea to experiment with shapes and find what works with u the best :) ur style will shape over time, and you may find inspo in other ppl's art styles as well, which is perfectly fine
change happens on its own, the more you draw, the more you'll find flaws in your art and fix them, which will lead to a more experienced art style
you can experiment too, experimenting is always a good idea when drawing -

I honestly just keep on trying to draw and work with different styles and techniques until I find what makes me happy the most not gonna lie it took awhile for me to discover the styles I like. Good luck!

I have exactly the same problem. When it comes to drawing people, I use manga, the Japanese style of pencil drawing. I also use my tablet to create fantasy landscapes and I paint realistic stuff. I also create animals with human accessories 😂 My fav is a panda wearing a cute bow 🤣 I suppose I just use what I prefer, you don't necessarily have to have just one style.
