So the main thing I draw is people
And they're never straight on, I almost always draw them at an angle.
But whenever I draw women, I always struggle in drawing their bust.
I'm good with the part that sort of sticks out of their torso, since I always draw it at an angle, but the other side I always mess up on.
Like, if she's facing her left a little (her left, not your left), I can draw her left side fine but not her right side well.
Like I'm not sure where to put the curve.
I know this is a weird thing to ask on and I get it if you don't want to answer. It's just that I've been struggling with it for years. -
Do you use anatomy lines?
-
I got you hold up
I'm going to have to wait until after work to fully explain but you should basically be drawing boobs like half full water balloons
Guidelines are helpful for this kind of stuff so if you aren't using guidelines I would suggest it -
...I never thought I'd ever see a sentence like that lol
Yeah, I'm always good with the side on the farthest side of the person, but the side closest to the person looking at the drawing I always mess up
The most guidelines I use are for the shoulders, maybe one or two for the face, and sometimes but very rarely the back. -
This is how I personally draw breasts
Not saying this is the only way, or the correct way! I am very much still an amateur artist. There are tons of other ways to draw tatas, and I am by no means a professional LOL. Just examples of how I draw them
^ the one right above is just an example of how I personally would draw the yiddies in a shirt
At the end of the day, I would suggest seeking out some pose references online, or even making your own when it comes to general anatomy and poses.
If you're comfortable with it, I would even suggest studying nude models, as that really helped with my anatomy drawing personally.
I can point you towards some websites with nude models that aren't p---ographic if needed. One website I used to use frequently also gives you options on if you want the model to be clothed or not ^^ it's a cool resource -
I tried to draw them at an angle like you mentioned
Now, if you're struggling with placement of nip-nops, I'm not sure I can help you there but googling "how to draw nipples" might help? -
I also have some other references by other artists that are better-explained but I'm not sure if I'll get in trouble for it lol! So that's why I made my own
-
That really helps, thanks!
