Honestly, all the people who get on this forum want to do is show and share their art. How is that pretentious and retarded?
Like I said before, the way it's worded and approached makes it feel like it's not a genuine compliment. Not saying all compliments are like that. Of course I take them along with criticism. I want criticism much more than a "cool", "great" or "nice". I don't know about everyone else, but those types of compliments aren't motivational to me. My old art teacher never did that. She didn't sugarcoat anything or said small "compliments" like those. What is a "nice" going to do? I want more. There's nothing wrong with wanting more.
Okay, but you already made it clear in the 8th post that you disagree. Now you're just saying repeated junk towards the rest who are participating in this thread. The End.
As if your current feelings changed. xD you never change. -
I don't really have many but here they are.
1) " Did you trace that?" - I know some people take it as a compliment or that it means that their art is good enough to be mistaken for a tracing but I take it that the person thinks I can't draw without cheating.
2) " Oh I draw just like that " " Oh I draw just like that but ( pretty much hinting that they do it better) in a more realistic way" - It might seem melodramatic but I honestly feel that people are dis valuing my art and it kind of upsets me.
That's kind of it for me.
Sorry if you didn't want us to post what we hate sorry. -
I don't draw, but it would bother me if someone just grabbed and touch all up on my art.

lol no dumb--- i just get shy
plus if youre gonna compliment someone do it directly?? lol
and idr get that mad when people dont notice, im usually joking when i do so
your argument doesnt hold any water
not that it ever does lol -
"Are they naked?!"
1) what's so wrong about drawing a naked body in the first place? 2) I'm not. It's an outline sketch, and they often don't give you enough time to explain that before jumping to the conclusion, and freaking out over it.
:When people just grab at your sketchbooks without permission and flip through them.
I don't mind if I say you can, (obviously) and if you asked, I probably wouldn't mind; but it's annoying when you just grab at them like it's your own. Dude, stop manhandling them. -
When people ask you to draw something then show it to everybody saying that they drew it is the reason I sign my art a lot
