Is Clannad (I think thats the name) good? And is the ending sad, like everyone says?

That's a big one on my incredibly backed up queue of 'To-Watch' list.
From what I heard, two of my manly man friends cried while watching it.
The bread was funny though. Just saying.

Clannad is one of the best anime I have ever seen.

Clannad is kind of...unfinished without Clannad After Story though.
