I've kinda lost interest in my drawings. Especially if people have begun to classify them as "cartoons". I dunno, but that just seems.. A little demeaning. Even though they basically are cartoons.
Sure, I have a few people who f---ing love what I draw, but it's kinda sad when it's mainly your history teacher that knows you're pretty damn sensitive so she tries to sugar coat everything for you.
I don't know really. Today I bought a very nice sketchbook and upon opening it, I did a few lines and I grew tired. Then I took a nap instead. When I woke up, I shoved the book in my drawer. Beautiful, ain't it?
I guess it's just the 'no motivation' thing. I personally don't see reason for me to draw, it interferes with my studying. And hell, I need to study if I want a scholarship, which at this rate I'm not even close to getting.
And it's the same s--- over and over. Mexico or Salvador, why? Because I'm a depressive idiot that misses her country because she was shoved into America, she and is jealous of her friends being part Salvadoran, and they don't get called wetbacks now do they? And think about it, I hardly draw women. That's just really sad, because honestly.. I could never do women anatomy to save my life, hell I can hardly draw boobs. And really, it's sad..
I mean, I admit I have some advantages, but what are advantages without motivation anymore? Anything I draw is just complete crap anyway and I don't enjoy what I draw much anymore, so what's the point? >.>'
And this is going to end up being one of those temporary things for sure. I say all of this and a few hours later I draw something that I 'like' but in reality I know it's not really going to get me anywhere, and that I'm wasting my time with all of this.. -
Honestly, I'm jealous of your work. I think it looks better than my own, and before you disagree with that, it's because I can't draw cute s--- for the life of me. And it's because I mainly practice a serious face. I can't draw a man that actually looks like a man because I can never narrow the face enough or get the nose right. Half the time I forget the adam's apple, so that doesn't help me.
Think about it before deciding you don't like something. Because I greatly disagree that your art is crap. Artwork is about what one feels, not if it looks good or bad.
Same goes for musical artwork. There's us who say Kyo sounds beautiful, I think so even when he's screaming, yet the majority of people at my school would say it sounds bad (because they're into rap and they're wanna-bes about it). That's the problem with rap in my school. People have to work a hell of a lot more to fit in. But with rock, I find it has more meaning and it's easier to follow what one says. Even though I can't understand exactly what Kyo or Ruki or Kamijo are really feeling in their lyrics, just listening to the song and watching the PV can help piece it together.

Yeah, but you're work is.. it's really on the surreal side, you know. And your artwork doesn't look too stiff and all. And I forget the Adam's apple all the time, so that doesn't help either.
Well I disagree that your work is crap too, you know. It's not that I think it looks bad, but I've always had this thing where I always think I could have put more effort. xP
Exactly. Exactly. To me, I don't care about what type of music it is, as long as it has good lyrics. And even when you listen to Jrock, you can understand the feeling and quality, if you're tolerant of course. Music is a universal language, it's just that some people go with the crap.
