There was once a beautiful woman. No one really knew her name.
She was very pretty, and had two kids with a handsome man. She loved him, and her kids, more than anything else in the word.
But one day, she saw her man with another woman. She was so enraged, she blamed the children. She thought that the man had left her because of the children.
One night, while they were asleep, she shoved them into a bag. She drove, on a horse, to the river, and she threw the bags with her children into the river.
In an instant, she realized that what she did was wrong. She chased after the bag. She screamed "My kids! Por favor, regressa! Return!". But she could not get her children.
The next night, two men found her dead. She had killed herself.
In the silence of the night, they heard the cries of the woman. They heard her crying for her children.
Her cries have been heard for centuries throughout Mexico. Be cautious, she is looking for her children. If any child is found by her, she will whisk them away and kill them.
That is the version I know. =W= This kept me from playing in the night all the time, when I was a child.
