the thing that i really love is that they took the time to animate it in a realistic and factually correct manner. i am a swimmer myself and as much as being impressed by the animation i was impressed by how they used an actual turn in accordance with the right stroke and made it look as realistic as you can get with anime.
It also shows how good of a flip turn this is. Rin pulled his arm and tucked his head in at the right moments to successfully drive his body into the wall, then give the space he needed to plant his feet firmly & launch off of it. Some swimmers tend to take a lot of time at the flip turn, which if Rin did, he would have given Haru more of a chance to catch up. After the flip turn, you could see that Haru was nearly half a body behind Rin (or was it a full body? not sure, I forget.) which made it much harder to catch up than if he was only a head or so away. Thus, this further solidified the end of this episode. C:

of course, weight distributes differently on everyone (and it evens out pretty damn well on me) but there is no freaking way you can be a size eight and look like a supermodel stick unless you are like 6 feet tall or more. -
