Ivan looked at the freshman, trying to be intimidating, but it was obvious that even he was nervous, considereing the fact that Alfred was the quarterback. "Nothing to clear up. That British boy over there is a liar. Nothing more," Ivan said coldly to the American.

"Hey man, that's not real cool." Alfred frowned, feeling a heroic moment come on. "Imagine if you were in his place. It can't be easy to give up your title, you know? And since I'm like a freshman it's probably even more difficult. My point is, you shouldn't be so hard on him. He's your friend and teammate still, am I right?"

Ivan chuckled. "Team mate? Not since he got beat out for a freshman." He set down the football, then walked away wih a smirk on his face, Yao following behind him. As he passed Arthur, Ivan said with a mock british accent, "Twit."

Alfred watched as the two walked away, feeling a bit pissed about the Russian's attitude. When they left, he turned to Arthur, looking at him a bit sympathetically. "You okay, dude?"

"Yes I'm fine. T-thank you. For talking to them for me," the Brit said, resisting the temptation to go back there and she Ivan why he used to be the quarterback. He looked at the American and said, "I wish I was the fullback. I would enjoy being on a team with you."

His smiled dropped a little at the Brit's last sentences. "Wait, so you're not going to please football this year at all?"

He sighed. "They didn't have enough room on the team. I only get to play if a player is injured and they need me." Arthur picked up the football and tossed it into one of his empty boxes.

Alfred frowned, groaning a bit in a childish way. "But you have to play! You're my first real friend here, it'd be awesome to have you on the team." He sat back down on his bed, and watched the other toss away the football.
