  1. I get out my book from the desk and find the page that talks about the civil rights movement. I take a peek at Drake and see him already working on the worksheet. I look back at my book and notice Drake looks at me. I blush and cover my cheeks using my wet hands. Goosebumps starts rising, and it started to itch. I get to page sixty in my book and started writing. I first decided to write my name on the top right corner of the paper.I could still notice Drake looking at me. "CRACK!" My pencil broke, and I could feel something squeezing my arm again like a snake. I look at my arm again. The vein was growing again. Drake looks at my arm then back at his worksheet. I look through my backpack to see if I brought my sharpener. But it wasn't there. I could see a classroom sharpener in the corner. I walk to the classroom sharpener and see Drake following me. I get to the sharpener and Drake gets behind me. "You go first." I say. Drake hits my shoulder and I blush. He sharpens his pencil he touches my hand and continues to walk back to his seat. I look at him then I look back at the sharpener. I sharpen my pencil then get back to my new seat.
  2. I continue to work on the worksheet that Mrs.Clerk gave us, but Drake doesn't seem to be doing anything. "Raise your hand if you need to keep working." A couple people raise their hand, including me. I feel very stupid. 85% of the class is done and 20% of the class is not done. I was probably thinking about Drake too much. "Okay, the people who are done...gets to help the person that is not done." Everyone cheers and raise their hands up. I didn't. "BUT...they need to be close to you. Mr.Handsome, Ana, you guys work together since... you're not done right?" Mrs.Clerk points her index finger on me. I nod slowly and lightly at Mrs.Clerk. Everyone starts saying "what?!" or "NO!" or just put their heads down with a sad expression on their faces. It's not because of Drake and me...well...maybe some. But it's probably because they don't want to work with the person that is sitting near them. "Alright! Good!" Mrs.Clerk says. Then she keeps going with calling pairs. Drake grabs his chair and sits near me. He gets close to me and I cover my cheeks that were ready to turn red like tomatoes.
  3. "Alright, what number are ya' on?" Drake asks. I get my pencil out of my ear and point to question number three. "Are you on page 60?" I nod and show him the book. Why am I acting like I can't talk? I need to say something! He gets closer to me and I scoot back. "Oh...sorry." Drake says, clearing his throat. He scoots back a bit and I stay in place. "Who was in charge of the-" "Martin Luther King." I say. Drake nods and I put my hands in between my lap. "Two more questions to go. "When did Martin Luther King get his Noble-" "1964." I say over Drake. "Alright, Can you do the last one by yourself?" Drake asks. Mrs.Clerk looks at us and continues to look at us. I nod and look back at my book. Drake grabs his chair and moves back to his seat. "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa Mr.Handsome! Where are you goin'?" Mrs. Clerk walks over to Drake. "Back to my spot." Drake replies. "First you gotta help her with all the questions she didn't answer! Go!" Drake was now ready to leave because of Mrs.Clerks's complaining. The bell rung. Just in time for Drake to walk away.
  4. I get to Gym, my next period. I sit down on the brown bench where the boys and girls sit, and wait. Our teacher comes over with his denim shorts and red shirt. Our teacher looks at us at a strangely, mad way. "Wait. Boys, at the bench from the other side of the gym. Girls, stay here. I don't want any kissy kisses going on around here or any huggy hugs." I notice Drake walking to the other side of the gym with the other boys. It's strange that I always see Drake no matter where I turn or go. "Okay, today we are doing the pacer. I know...bad time to do this. But I wanna see what level you are. If we need to practice more or little. Girls, if you are wearing high heels, please take 'em off. Boys, if you are wearing high heels too, please take 'em off, Or if are wearing fancy shoes please take those off too." Everyone laughs besides Drake and me. Drake had his eyes on me the whole time. His Dark eyes hypnotize me, and I keep looking at him. I just can't look away.
