Are you Prog Rock, Heavy Metal, or Pop Rock?
The title basically explains it all, but let me see if I can elaborate on it. So, to get the character goal, let me give a quick run-through of the three genres/results.
Prog Rock originated in the late ‘60s, and reached its peak in the early ‘70s. It usually consists of elements drawing from fantasy and/or mythology. It also happens to consist of long interludes where the band shows off their instrumental virtuosity. Good examples of Prog Rock groups are Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Yes. Heavy Metal originated in the same time period as Prog Rock, and it consists of screaming guitars and vocals, misogynistic/misanthropic lyrics, and generally a dark air around it. Good examples of Heavy Metal bands are Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath. Pop Rock originated in the early ‘60s, and consists of a happy tempo and lyrics about love. Good examples of Pop Rock are early Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Elvis Presley. These are the three results you can get. They may not reflect the real life answer, but this is the best I can do right now.
