A Hogwarts Love Story - Part Four [New Years]

Part four is here! Sorry for the long and extremely overdue wait. Starting from year 3 to 8, you'll attract the attention from many boys. But, the question is: Who will you choose? You meet a long-lost friend and get a surprise from Neville! How more chaotic could this get?

  1. Earlier, Oliver had dropped you off at the Gryffindor Common Room, saying he was going to put his broom back. Something in his eye told you that he was lying, but you went along with it. Now, you lay in bed, unable to fall asleep. You tossed and turned, tried different sleeping positions, and everything else you could think of; but to no avail. With a huff, you sat up and looked over to your roommates; Hermione, Ginny, and some other girl whom you didn't fully know. They were just as wide awake. Hermione had a book in her lap; Ginny was laying with her face stuffed into her pillow; and the other girl was fiddling with her wand.
  2. “I hate being bored,” Ginny said, voice muffled by her pillow. “Then finish the Potions essay or something,” Hermione suggested. Ginny groaned loudly. “Why are you always such a studyholic?” “I am not!” Hermione objected. “Actually,” You chirped, “You kinda are.” Hermione rolled her eyes. “Fine, then what do you suggest we do?” You scoffed, “How should I kn—Ow!” You yelped as something hit the back of your head. You turned, only to be poked in the eye. “Gah!” You grabbed the thing, only to reveal that it was…a letter, with tiny wings attached to it.
  3. “Open it.” Ginny said eagerly. “No way! What if it’s a bomb?” You retorted. “It’s not a bomb, it’s way too—” “Oh, for Godric’s sake, just open it!” Hermione hissed. You raised an eyebrow, but nodded, and carefully opened it. “Oh. It’s an invitation.” “Read it!” Hermione smiled. “Dear _____, Hermione, and Ginny. We are pleased to announce that you are all invited to the New Years Ball. Feel free to bring some friends. Love Always, Fred and George.”
  4. Hermione was the first to speak. “We shouldn’t go.” “We. Are. Going.” Ginny said firmly, and you nodded in agreement. Hermione sighed. “Okay, fine.” You started to invite the other girl, only to find that she was asleep. “So I guess it’s just us, then.” You beamed. Thoughts?
  5. You all went simply; Hermione had jeans and a ruffle blouse, Ginmy had a skirt and t-shirt. You had on:
  6. You three embarked on your short journey; silent all the way. You saw the Great Hall coming up, so you turned, only to collide with another person. Thankfully, you both caught your balance. “Oh…my… Jade Robinson?” “_______ _________?” The girl was obviously the same age as you; she had pale complexion, silky-curly, rich brown hair, and electric blue eyes. She had a somewhat easy smile, and a petite yet nice figure. Memories flashed through your brain; you and Jade playing together as first-years, despite her being in Ravenclaw. Her constantly tutoring you for your exams. You squealed, and took her into a tight embrace, she did the same. As you pulled away, she had the biggest grin on her face. “Wow… You’re… wow.” She laughed. “I can’t believe it’s been so long!” You said, temporarily ignoring the frozen Hermione and shocked Ginny. “Um, hello, still here?” They said in usion. “Oh! Right, sorry. Jade, meet Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley. Hermione and Ginny, meet Jade Robinson.” They all shook hands, and you nodded aprovingly. We are a freaky bunch, you thought with a smile.
  7. You just arrived at the Great Hall, with Hermione, Ginny, and Jade. You watched in amusement as Ginny tore Hermione away from her book and Jade looked in awe at how crowded and loud it was. Your gaze focused on all the festive decorations; red streamers hung everywhere, blue confetti was scattered on the ground, and white balloons floated around. You spotted all of the Gryffindors, some Ravenclaws, many Hufflepuffs…but you noticed one blonde Slytherin standing by himself. Go, a voice in your head insisted. No! Another voice argued. This continued on, until you couldn’t handle it anymore; you stomped over to him without a hesitation in your step.
  8. Draco obviously noticed you coming, because he stood straighter. “___. I’m sorry.” He said before you could object. “I just… I—” “Hold up, Malfoy,” You said, giggling. “I know. You have to keep up your bad-boy image; it’s fine.” He stared at you in surprise. “Really?” “Yup!” You looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “Although, going to a party alone is probably the worst you could do,” Draco laughed. “You can say that again.” You two chatted for a little while longer, randomly picking topics each time. "Oh, and thanks, for the ring." He grinned slightly. "It was no biggie." Suddenly, you stared at him in disbelief. "What?" "You... Draco Malfoy... just said biggie!" You laughed, nearly doubling over in the process. He sighed and shook his head at you. "Honestly, don't be such a crazy girl!" He said sarcastically, causing you to laugh harder. At this point, you felt like you were going to burst a gut. You managed to smack his arm, and he held his hands up in surrender. “Alright!” He said quickly, rolling his eyes. “But really, it’s been nice talking to you.” You felt your cheeks getting hot, looking down before he could see. “Yeah,” You said with a slight nod. “Uh, maybe, we could—I don’t know, meet up again?” You looked up at his sudden change of voice—he sounded so serious it almost surprised you, but you managed to croak a response; “Sure.” With that, you turned on your heel and weaved through the crowd, leaving a happy Draco behind.
  9. You were shoved back and forth between the other students; but you survived, arriving at the snack table. After grabbing two chocolate chip cookies, you heard your name being called. "____!" You blinked, looking around in confusion. "____, turn around!" The same laughing voice called, and so you did, coming face-to-face with Harry and Ron. "Oh, hey, you two."
  10. Harry swung an arm around your shoulders, smiling widely at you. His minty breath was hitting your face, and you felt your cheeks heat up. You handed Harry one of your cookies that he gladly accepted, thanking you with a small hug. You held out your other cookie to Ron, and he grumbled to himself for a few seconds before snatching out of your hand. You snickered, smiling.
  11. You sighed and shook your head. "What am I gonna do with you?" You teased Harry, ruffling his hair and he glared playfully at you. When you turned back to Ron, he was talking to another girl, and you couldn't help but eavesdrop. "You know, if I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together." He said, and you clenched your fists. "Sorry," the girl said, smiling uneasily. "But N and O are already there..." With that, she turned around and walked away. You stood there awkwardly, rocking a bit on your feet as the pounding music filled your ears. "Ron..." Harry's voice floated in and you felt him brush up behind you. "You're making ____ feel awkward." Ron narrowed his eyes at Harry. "And if I don't stop? What're you gonna do?" In less than a second, they were standing in front of each other, shouting insults that you could just barely hear over the loud cheering and chatter among the other students. You stepped forward, nimbly trying to push them apart. "Guys, stop it," You said with a frown, but they refused. You tried again, yet to no avail. Your arms were now laying flat on your sides and you were staring at them silently.
  12. You just stood there, frozen as they fought. You felt helpless; like a deer caught in headlights. But then, you heard something. A voice. "____!" You turned your head meekly, and you were engulfed in arms. Jade. "____," she repeated, "Are you alright?" "Yeah, but they're..." You trailed off, sighing, and you felt her nod. "I brought Oliver with me." When you heard Oliver, your face brightened, and you looked at him with hopeful eyes. He flashed an award-winning smile at you, then proceeded to break Harry and Ron apart. "Stop it," he demanded, easily pushing them away from one another. "I thought you guys knew better than this. Look at ____,"
  13. At his words, they both looked at you with Jade's arms protectively wrapped around your shoulders. "See?" She hissed, glaring at them. "You two fight because you like her, but is that really helping her?" Ron and Harry cast each other glances before they simultaneously took a step towards you. "____," Harry was the first to speak, his voice was cracked from yelling. "I'm sorry." You shook your head, the corner of your lips tilting up into a small smile. "It's alright, Harry..." Your gaze traveled to Ron and your eyebrow furrowed.
  14. "____-" Ron started, and Jade quickly interrupted, her tone icy. "Get away." She snapped, tugging your hand. "___, come on." You ducked your head, following her lead as she dragged you away from the boys. Your eyes locked with Oliver for a few seconds before he disappeared into the crowd.
  15. When you and Jade got to a (somewhat) quiet corner, she gripped your shoulders tightly, yet her gaze was soft. "Are you alright?" She asked again, frowning when you nodded. "I'm fine, really!" You flashed a reassuring grin, and she studied you for a moment before sighing. "Alright, ____, you win. But if you need me to, I'll kick their a-" You cut her off quickly, laughing. "Jade! It's fine, okay? Go have fun." You nudged her in the direction of one of the tables, and she rolled her eyes. "Alright, I'm going!" She said teasingly, walking towards the direction of some Gryffindors. You inhaled loudly, though it could barely be heard over the loud music.
  16. After a few minutes of awkwardly standing there, alone, Neville appeared out of the blue, holding out his hand to you without saying anything. You looked at him in puzzlement, but you grasped his hand - more or less willingly - as he led you out of the Great Hall. You walked until he sat you down on a bench, and you stared at him expectantly, but he was too busy fiddling with his fingers to notice. Clearing his throat, he finally looked up at you. "Uh… h-hello, ______," he said, “Having a nice time?" You giggled a little, which caused his eyebrows to furrow in confusion. "Yes, Neville. I'm having a really good time," you replied between laughs, "how are you?" He looked tentatively at you, as if questioning your sanity, and then said in a small voice, "I was having fun too," he said. You raised your eyebrows at him, and he stared back into your ____ colored orbs. "You were? You're not anymore?" you asked, but he just shook his head, and pressed on. "Did you....uh.....like your Christmas presents?" he asked you in a shaking voice. You placed one comforting hand on his shoulder. "It's alright. I don't bite!" You said, laughing quietly, but then you smiled and nodded. "But yeah, they were all really nice. I especially liked the ___ charm you gave me." Before you could react, there was a warm pressure on your lips, and it took a moment to comprehend what was happening – he was kissing you. When he broke away, he said quietly, "I said I 'was' having fun, because I'm having a better time with you," and then hurriedly walked back to the Great Hall, leaving you to sort out your thoughts.
  17. Alright, first off, I'd just like to say OH MY GLOB I AM SO SORRY! I've been super inactive lately, but that's due to dance lessons, school, and Tumblr. I'm also starting Piano lessons, so that may restrict my writing time, but I promise to keep writing, whether you guys are aware or not. I DID promise I'd post another edition, yes? Here it is! I'd like to thank several people from Tumblr (Rivi, mostly) and my fans on here! I'm extremely sorry for the wait! I'll try to get back into writing, alright? Bye, loves!~
