What is your stance on the Cultural Revolution?
- The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution has met with nothing but success in purging capitalist elements in China, and it must continue!
- The Cultural Revolution has been a great success, but it's time to phase it out and focus on more pressing economic issues.
- The Cultural Revolution was a mistake and should be ended immediately for the sake of the country.
- The Cultural Revolution was a grave crime by Chairman Mao, which must be denounced and reversed in the sharpest form.
What is your plan to revitalize China's economy?
- The bloody pursuit of economic growth is a sign of a capitalist mindset. With smart, efficient central planning and a powerful safety net for all our citizens, we can achieve an unparalleled quality of life without pursuing infinite, reckless, growth.
- We must remain steadfastly committed to the socialist system, but perhaps we can tolerate a few small Special Economic Zones to pass through the capitalist stage of development more rapidly.
- A pragmatic, measured approach must be taken. A free-market economy enclosed within a tightly regulated "bird cage" will ensure all the economic growth of capitalism without the corruption or loss of sight of socialism.
- We cannot allow questions of ideology to inhibit our pursuit of prosperity for China. A large series of Special Economic Zones should be opened along the coast, and small business must be legalized to get the country running again.
- As Marx said, every nation must pass through the capitalist mode of production before socialism is in reach. We need to adopt a market economy and open to the West to speed up this process.
What is your stance on the United States of America?
- While a useful counterweight against the social imperialists of the USSR, it's important to remember that America is a fundamentally imperialist nation, and we should keep them at arms' length.
- The United States has the potential to be a powerful ally against the USSR. Furthermore, we can import Western technology from them and even hopefully settle the Taiwan issue in our favor if we continue the normalization of relations.
- America is the richest and most prosperous country on Earth, and it would be criminal for us not to cooperate with them in all matters economically, as well as supporting their "Cold War" against the Russians.
What is your stance on political pluralism?
- Following the practices of democratic centralism and self-criticisms, we maintain a lively exchange of ideas within the party. There is no need to extend these privileges to those outside.
- The people should have the right to make their voices heard. Decision-making should be transparent and the West's free speech laws should serve as a model.
What is your stance on agricultural collectivization?
- While crop yields may have fallen as a result of collectivization, it would be criminal to undo this process and thereby reintroduce capitalism into the countryside.
- Collectivization needs to be carefully phased out, but it is clear the policy has been a failure.
- Collectivization has been yet another disaster perpetrated upon China by Chairman Mao. We need to privatize farms and thereby reinvigorate the countryside.
What is your stance on the process of promotion of officials?
- The individual's class background is the most important factor! A focus on so-called meritocracy reeks of Confucianism and should be opposed.
- It is important to have party members from lower backgrounds to maintain our socialist characteristic, but promotions based on merit are important to keep the ship of state running.
- The foolish class-based promotion system should be immediately ended. The examination system has served China well for thousands of years and will continue to do so.
What is your stance on the Soviet Union?
- The Soviet Union has abandoned socialism in favor of social imperialism a long time ago, representing the greatest threat to China by all measures, and should be opposed at all costs.
- The aggressive, menacing Soviet Union has attempted attempted a coup by their agent Lin Biao, and must be opposed by all means.
What are your thoughts on the late Chairman Mao?
- Mao, the great helmsman, was the greatest leader China has seen and probably will see. Mao Zedong Thought must be upheld at all costs!
- Mao was one of the greatest leaders China has ever had, and though he supported some misguided policies, his image should not be besmirched among the people.
- Had Mao died in 1956, his achievements would have been immortal. Had he died in 1966, he would still have been a great man but flawed. But he died in 1976. Alas, what can one say?
What are your thoughts on the national minorities of China?
- Unfortunately, the rebellious Tibetans and Uyghurs augur poorly for China's security. We will end the Mao-era affirmative action programs, revoke their limited autonomy, and keep them under tighter watch.
- Our system must work for everyone. We will continue affirmative action and allow teaching in minority languages.
- The very structure of a unitary state discriminates against the minorities of China! We must federalize the country to ensure proper representation for every ethnic group in China, no matter the size.
