Although his real face can be seen in the South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut movie. Kenny is called upon by his friends when they encounter an unknown term, although his answers usually make them all even more confused. Kenny is usually the first one to go ahead and perform disgusting feats which Stan & Kyle eventually notice and make a show entitled "The Krazy Kenny Show" in which Kenny does gross things for some money (eating mice, washing his hair in battery acid, etc).
