“In the summer of 1971, an unknown private investor bought the land that used to house the Averno grain mill and the Holy House of God Cathedral. In the dead of night, a reconstruction of a 19th century castle was built. Seven letters arrived at the post office that Monday. Each day, the head of a new department of ANS arrived, picked up a letter, and disappeared Into the castle. On Sunday, the post office was closed. Nobody has met the head of the rumored seventh department, but on Monday, the final letter was gone.”

Which book are you most likely to get at an old bookstore?
- An old textbook, preferably at least a century old

You find a dusty old book in your attic. It is half written in ancient runes, half what appears to be Latin, and is full of cryptic drawings, and what appear to be multiple instructions for rituals. What do you do?
- D E C I P H E R
- Flip through, and try to figure out it’s origin
- Check to make sure it won’t explode, then add it to the pile — you have some catching up to do, on far more mysterious objects
- Copy the drawings and paste them to the wall
- Call apon the Old Ones to hear their verdict
- Turn it upside down, hold it to the light, and look for clues.
- See what new mysteries I can learn
- Show it to the group, someone must’ve seen something similar.
