Yes I completely agree! Its a total disgrace. Tracy Beaker Returns is awful now because like you said its nothing like The Story of Tracy Beaker and not because she's older but they have changed the character of Tracy completely and gosh everything about it the style and all has changed and I hate it! What on earth have they done and why and how did they dare do this?! How did Jacqueline Wilson allow this? That is some of the long list of questions I'm wondering. It is a total disgrace. As a die hard Tracy Beaker and Jacqueline Wilson fan, I refuse to accept this story as a continuation of TSOTB. Tracy was supposed to be a daring, bubbly funny girl and now she just cries all the time and the cartoons are rubbish. Mike used to be very funny and cool but now he's just so dead serious. I think its just because some ppl interfered and tried to change it is my guess.

However every cloud has a silver lining and if I view it on its own, in its own right without accepting as a continuation to TSOTB then I think it helps kids of 2013 deal with life. How things can go wrong etc. The fact that there are so many characters helps explore a whole range of probs. I watch it on a regular basis for this reason only because I also have a lot of problems and watching this really helps. However I do still think its a total disgrace for being disloyal to the real Tracy Beaker and refuse to accept this story as a continuation. The girl in TBR is not Tracy to me and never will be.

Tracy Beaker Returns is rubbish, I watched the first episodes but its nothing like The Story of Tracy Beaker, none of the same people are there apart from mike and Tracy seems completely different (not just cuz she's older)and the style is bad, the kids are weird and everything about it is weird, they could have made a really good series aswell

That's exactly what I thought at first so I didn't watch it, but then I did and after a couple of episodes it seems like you know all of the new kids and the story lines work really well. You should have a go at it again :)
