Um....
1363/2491 is 29/53, not 21/53.Also, if you have a right triangle with legs of 4 meters and 5 meters, the hypotenuse^2 would be 4^2+5^2, which is 41, making the hypotenuse the square root of 41 meters. You also changed the unit to miles in the answers; if that was intentional, then the square root of 41 meters is about .004 miles. I suspect the 'correct' answer of 31 miles came from adding 25 and 16 wrong, not taking the square root, and then accidentally using a different unit (they both start with m).
As for the 3^x(times)4^x= 5 problem, I'm not quite sure how that's supposed to be interpreted. It seems like it would be (3^x)*(4^x)= 5, given order of operations and the times, which I'm assuming is multiplication and not some random interjection. In that case, (3^x)*(4^x) is the same as 12^x, so 12^x= 5. That means x equals log base 12 of 5, which is about 0.65. I guess the problem could be interpreted as 3^(x*4^x)= 5, in which case things get weird and it turns into x*(4^x)= log base 3 of 5, which I'm not sure how to solve, or if it's solvable without craziness, but the answer would definitely not be 2, since 3^(2*4^2)= 5 is the same as 3^32= 5, which is not true. The only reason I can think that of that 2 could sort of seem like an answer is because of the fact that 3^2+4^2=5^2.

(continuing)
So if it had been written with addition or (plus) instead of (times) and 5^2 or 5^x instead of 5, then 2 would be correct (3^x+4^x= 5^x).
Also, you 'r' missing a little something in your 'backwads'. ;)
Thanks for making a math test, though. I haven't seen one on here for a while, and it was fun. c:
Sorry for the long math rant; I'm a bit of a math nerd. :P
