The Cursed One (part 12) ~The final chapter

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every moment of it :D. This is the final chapter of "The Cursed One" as you can see from the tittle. I tried to make you guys at least tear up, but I probably failed :P.

  1. I quickly sprinted back through the woods and back to where the cabins were. I had one thought on my mind: I had to find Dylan and tell him what I had to do.  Once I ran out of the woods, I spotted Dylan talking to Tara. Well, it looked more like Tara was trying to talk to Dylan, and Dylan was ignoring her and trying to walk away.  I ran up to them and Tara looked like she was gonna hurl.  "What are you doing here?" Tara said as she made a disgusted face.  "What are you doing here? I thought you were still in the infirmary." Dylan said, making a worried and shocked face.  "I need to show and tell you something." I told Dylan, ignoring both of their questions. I grabbed his hand and ran towards the woods before anyone could say anything else.  "What are you doing?" Dylan asked as he started to run beside me.  "I need to show and tell you something." I replied and then sprinted through the woods.  Once when we got to the clearing, I stood in the middle of it and looked up. I could see half of the black sun. Which meant that I only had an hour.
  2. "What do you need to tell me?" Dylan asked.  "I've seen this place before, but I've never been here." I said.  "What do you mean?" Dylan asked.  "I mean that I have never been here before. But, my mind has. I've seen this place in a dream. The dream where I crash. I fall down right here, and I know how. And you're not gonna like it." I told him. "How?" He asked.  "I fall from the sun. I make the sun it's normal color again and I slow down and weaken Gaea. Enough for us to win." I said.  "No, Megan. You don't have to do that. We can stop Gaea. You don't have to kill yourself." Dylan said as he took a step towards me.  "Yes, I do. I'm dying anyways." I said. 
  3. "No you don't. Why don't we just go back to the cabins and we can make some plans to stop Gaea, alright?" Dylan said as he took my hand and started pulling me to the cabins and an idea came to me.  "Okay. But, we have to run." I said.  "Why?" He asked.  "It feels like I haven't ran in a year and I have a lot of energy right now." I said and then sprinted towards the cabins with Dylan behind me.  We burst out of the tree line and I saw a huge line to get into a building which is where everyone ate. I assumed it was lunch time.  "Hey, I'll meet you in there. I'm gonna go change my cloths because they're a little dirty." I told Dylan.  "Okay, see you later." Dylan said and then I gave him a kiss. It took him by surprise a little and when we broke away, he was smiling. I smiled too as I started jogging towards the Apollo Cabin. That smile quickly faded though, as I realized that that might be the last time I ever see or kiss him again.
  4. Once I was inside the Apollo Cabin, I grabbed my jean shorts, my bright yellow half shirt, a piece of paper, and a pen. I went into the bathroom, changed, and began to write a letter to my friends.   Once when I was done writing, I folded up the paper, walked out of the bathroom and out of the cabin, and ran towards the forest.  As I reached the woods, I saw that the black sun was pretty much directly above me. I most likely only had a couple minutes.  I tapped the sun on my necklace and everything appeared. I unclasped my necklace, took off my arm rings, took off my ring, took off the circuit around my head, and took off my knives. I set them down on the ground and put the letter next to them.  I took a deep breath and looked up. The black sun was directly above me now and I could see the small part of the normal sun.  'It's now or never.' I thought as I made fire around my hands. 
  5. I coughed a little as I shot fire out of my hands and the force pushed me upwards into the sky. I was a little nervous that Zeus would blast me out of the sky, but that went away as I thought of the letter that I wrote....  A tear rolled down my cheek as I was almost to the black sun. In about a minute or two, I would be inside it. I could feel the intense heat, but I ignored it as I went straight into the sun.  I went right into the center of it and put myself on fire. I made the fire go out and around the black part of the sun. Very slowly, the blackness was going away. 
  6. Five minutes later, there was no more black on the sun, and I felt very weak.  I started to fall. I was going at incredible speed and my whole body went on fire as I was falling.  I could see myself getting closer and closer to the ground and I tried to think of everything good in my life.  I put my arms over my head at the last minute and then I crashed into the ground, making the ground shake. 
  7. Dylan's POV:  'I wonder what's taking Megan so long. She's been gone for almost 30min.' I thought as I finished eating my lunch.  As I was about to sit back down at my table, I felt the ground shake, and for some reason, I had a feeling that Megan did that.  Of course, I should've known. How could I not know that Megan would lie, just to weaken Gaea?  I quickly ran out of the cafeteria and towards the woods, to the spot where Megan showed me that she was going to crash.  Once I got there, it was still a little dusty from all the dirt, and I saw a big hole covered in dirt. To my left, I saw all of Megan's rings and her knives that I made her, and a letter. I picked up the letter and began to read: 
  8. "Hey, guys (notice how I didn't put "dear ____"). Well, if you're reading this, then I am most likely buried in the ground or in the sun. Yep, you heard me correctly. The sun. I planned on making it turn back to it's normal color. Hopefully that worked or I died for nothing. But then again, I'm dying anyways. You don't know how bad it's gotten. I couldn't even go an hour without coughing. And when I did cough, there was blood. Once when the sun is back to normal, you have to attack Gaea. That will be the time when she is weak. No time to grieve for me. It's not like it's the first time I've died. All though, this one will probably be the most painful. After all, I am falling from the sun, and crashing down into the earth and then every one of my bones break, but let's not get into detail.  Jake you were the first person to trust me. You became like my brother. Why you trusted me, I will never know. It seemed pretty crazy to me. But then again, a lot of things do.  Alania: you are the smartest person I know. I should know because I copied off of you in every class we had together and I always got A's in there. I guess I can tell you now because I'm dead. Make plans with Annabeth about stoping Gaea. Again, no time to grieve over me. Just do what you do best.... think and come up with a plan.  Dakota: you seriously kick ass. I didn't think I'd ever meet anyone as crazy as me, until I met you. You're my sister and best friend. It's like we have the same brain and we drive people crazy. Hey, it's what we do best.  Annabeth, Percy, and Jason: I'm gonna call you guys the deadly three-some. You're all awesome, even though I didn't get to know you guys that long. That's pretty much all I have to say to you guys, so don't be offended. I'm in a rush here.  Dylan: we will meet again one day. If it's not this life, then it'll be in another. Maybe the afterlife. I don't want you to forget about me because I sure ain't forgetting about you (hopefully). But hey, I'm dead right now. You told me that you saw something in me that made me different from other girls. At first I thought it was because I was cursed, then I thought it was because I'm more sarcastic than anyone you've ever met, and finally, I realized that it was because I was willing to save anyone's life, even at the cost of mine. Which is what I just did now. Well, kinda. You still have to destroy Gaea, I just made her weaker. You'll forever be in my heart.  Stay as sarcastic as you can, guys. I love you all.  ~Meg."  From that moment, I knew that she was dead.... forever.

  10. Well, don't cry if you did!! You wanna know why? Because it is not over yet!! :D. I'm writing another story to this one.
  11. So, look out for the next one. It's either gonna be called "Curse Forgotten" or "The Curse Forgotten". Which one sounds better? Please tell me in the comments.
