I was born at the Firs maternity hospital on Mansfield Road, I think the person who made up this quiz isn't as Nottingham as I am. I am not a beer drinker, never have been but I do remember Shipstones Brewery very well and a lot of people who worked there. I am 100% Nottingham, having been born and raised there 75 years ago.

The choice of hospitals in which you could be born does not include the Nottingham Women's Hospital, which closed in 1981, meaning that few people over the age of 32 can get 100% in this quiz! [no urls]'s_Hospital

I'm a Nottingham girl who has lived in Oz for 40 years but haven't forgotten any of the old things. Sure brings back some good memories.

to Shep. I was born at the Firs too and it was Dr. Cochran in 1938. May be it was Dr. Cochran who delivered you, not Dr. Cotteral?? Just a thought, as I know Dr. Cochran delivered all my siblings at Firs and was a very well respected Dr.

Sherwood hospital wasn't listed as a place to be born either. I guess this was for the younger generation. Need to do another one for us 'oldtimers'

I was born at the general hospital as Qmc wasn't built, that one wasn't on the list, and I thought the xylophone man sat in a few places

Rubbish. I was born at Peel Street hospital. Clearly more Nottingham than the author then?!

we're pretty sure that the xylophone man used to sit outside C&A or M&S. When I lived in Nottingham, H&M was in Vic Centre.
