  1. You were sitting in the barn, with your Mom and your sister, Makenzie. "Jessie why are you so sad? This is a good thing, Leila is giving birth! we'll have another little foal or filly!" says Makenzie. You look at your older sister with a sad face. She will never understand. Leila looks like her stomach is twisted, not like a pregnate mares stomach should look.
  2. You worry and feel like your stomach is like Leilas looks like as she gives birth. The filly looks so weak when she comes. Its a girl. You look at your worried mother. The new filly has two broken legs and a deformed ear that flops like a basset hounds. " Jessie, go get the phone and call the vet NOW!" your mom screams. You rush inside and grab the phone. its 11:51 pm and you doubt the vet will be up this late. He picks up and you explain everything but he cant come til 12 30 am. You say ok as you leave the wall phone dangling in the air when you rush to tell your mom. The filly is all clean and it turns out a back leg just looked broken but the other one is broken. To be honest the flopped ear kinda looks cute so we all decided to name the filly Floppy.
  3. Before you know it the vet is there. " Floppy has a 50-50 chance of living." you and your family exchange glances. " Please help her." you say. " ill do the best i can but thanks to your mother and Makenzies help in cleaning Floppy she has a better chance of living." you all let out a sigh of relief.
  4. Leilas stomach looks better now that Floppy is foaled already. the vet left an hour ago. Floppy looks way healthier already. her leg has a cast on it but it still doesnt look quite right but theres still healing time left until winter comes.
  5. Before you know it its april 16th and its time to take off the cast. Makenzie has to go back to school after her break from Floppys foaling and floppy decided to try and follow her when she walked to school. You run to catch your 3 legged running filly and when you catch her ( shes already broken ) her cast slips off the day the vets supposed to take it off.
  6. The vet comes and tells you its fine that the cast slipped off and that he was lazy when he first put it on so hes the one that should be blamed not you. But now Floppy isnt putting her leg on the ground. Everyone is worried she wont be able to live and possibly do comptitions. But theres just hope left.
