  1. I am Sparkle, my parents don’t have great taste in names but it does go with my full name. Sparkle Moon Shines; couldn’t they call me Violet Moon Shines or something? Because of my name people call me Spark or Sparky. I have a lot of friends; I just don’t talk to most of them. Well I just say “I know people” The only person I am close to is Jayson. He is my best friend along with Stella. It’s our last year at school, in wonder how things are going to go.
  2. I walked through the gates of the school; it’s kind of a place where rich kids go. Not like I am rich or anything. “Hey Jay” A perky voice says, up ahead I can see Jay with his little pretty pink princess...Ashley. Compared to her everyone in the school looks like pale vampires.
  3. A hand slaps me on the back, I turn to see Stella. She has long blond hair, which is just above her hip. Her green eyes always seem to sparkle and she always has a smile on her face. I really don’t know why she is my friend; she belongs with Ashley and all those rich kids. Same with Jay, everyone hates me for it.
  4. “Hey Stell” I hugged her, she hugged me back. What can I say? We are best friends. “Jay is with that little witch again” Stella told me peering over my shoulder. I nodded and pulled away, Stella uses witch instead of B****. Ever since we were watching winx, that’s also why Stella loves her name. I guess she does look like Stella off winx. “Hey don’t space out on me Spark,” Stella whispered to me by looking behind me. “The witch and Jay are coming this way”
  5. “Hey Stell and...Spark” Ashley told us pulling us into a hug. “Hey Ash” Stella and I said at the same time. We only get along with her for Jay. He has had a tough past, so we don’t want to wreck his future!
  6. “Oh hey Jay” I said, I wanted to pull him into a hug but with Ashley it’s useless to try. “Hey Jay” Stella said and hugged him, Stella has guts but she also likes Jay. Jay is one clueless guy, two girls are fighting over him and he doesn’t know it! Jay has brown hair and clear brown eyes. Also he is fit and kind, he puts most guys to shame!!
  7. “So, It’s a new year” Stella told us, I knew what she was thinking. ‘Another year get Jay’, I guess it’s her last chance. Or will she let true love slip away?
  8. I guess I am going to have to find out. As on cue, the bell rang. “We better get to class” Ashley said dragging Jay away. “Things are going to change this year Spark” Stella said in rage. I laughed and grabbed her hand “Come on, hurry or we will be late” I was faking my smiles, as always. Maybe this year something will change...
