When my parents got me the Harry Potter books 1-7 boxed set for Christmas I thought it was the best Christmas present ever. Hogwarts became my home away from home when I needed to get away from my muggle life. Right now I'm sharing the magic with my little brother. We started a few nights ago and are already on chapter 6. To celebrate Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling's birthdays today I watched movies 1 and 8, but only those two. Harry Potter has changed my way of life for the better, and I thank J.K. Rowling for making it possible to go somewhere magical when my muggle life turns depressing or I'm in need of a happy place, I can go there by just thinking of Hogwarts.

I found this way late but who cares!!! My HP story: I first read the books in third grade and didn't understand any of it. I read them again in sixth. I watched all of the movies and cried when Dobby, Sirius, Snape, Harry, and Dumbledore died. Luckily Harry didn't die forever! I watched the 7th movie in theaters (wasn't allowed to go to midnight premier T.T) and saw so many people dressed as HP characters and was so ashamed because I didn't own anything of the sort. From that moment on: I knew that Harry James Potter was MY chosen one! We're now married in a fanfic of mine and I wish my husband a VERY happy birthday!

Happy Birthday Harry Potter AND JK Rowling, who started it all, created it all and our Queen. Long live Harry Potter!
