I got 15% and honestly, I thought it would be waaaay more.

I'm writing a story about four boys at a boarding school in 1978, just trying to get by. I decided to go with my favorite character (don't tell the other three) to see if I needed to spruce him up a little.

His name is Hermann Shoemaker. Hermann was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when he was five, and he has gone through many surgeries, and many canes, crutches, and wheelchairs. His parents are middle class, his alcoholic father who he never saw and his mother who was holding onto the marriage because her catholic upbringing has told her to.

He has dark brown hair with sideburns, that is literally ALWAYS in cowlicks because he literally doesn't care at all. His ears are big and stick out,and his nose is hooked and beak-shaped. He's human, 16 years old (but he acts and dresses like he's 70), and speaks in "The Queen's English" (A more posh and refined English accent). He has insomnia and OCD, and he's all about numbers and patterns

Hermann is the type of guy that wears hand-me-down sweater vests and blazers to class, and because of his back disease, his cane gives him a proper, upright poster. He's stuffy and uptight, hates talking about himself in anyway shape-or-form. He loves math with a passion, and it calms his when he is stressed.

Hermann has a crush on one of his three friends, Theodore (Theo) Ace. Yeah, Hermann is gay whatcha gonna do about it. Anyway, Theo has Tourette's, and because Theo has literal DISGUSTING parents that never gave him the proper care he needed, Hermann prioritized on making Theo feel safe and comfortable when he is having lots of tics. Slowly, Theo began to trust Hermann and honestly, I've found myself kinda making them flirt with each other (or at least try to, because they're both social awkward dorks)

Second Kathryn (16% too, this one kinda surprised me because yeah I understand she has a LOT of flaws but she is too overpowered too),

Max (24% I kinda expected that. She is king Fil's daughter and has some Mary Sue characteritics. But she is a good person:D),

Fil (35%, I admit it... I expected more XD. Ok I like this OC, but I hate his attitude and his powers. He's too powerful and too arrogant! Yeah he is inteligent and more but I can't stand this man. He is based in a Gary stu that one of my school friends did so that's why I expected more percentage.)

I got 23% My character is a girl she is a cat human hybrid but its normal in the universe. She has baby pink hair due to being born with bleach blond hair and when she is anxious, sad, angry etc negative emotions her scalp bleeds causing a permanent color. her Name is chinoki (death kiss shortened )the reason is this: (her father is not abusive this was just a thing he did to remember the cause of chinokisus mothers death) he named her that after the mother had died giving birth to chinoki (for short). Otherwise he was a loving father who wanted the best. hes abstract minded so hes not a big part of the story. Chinoki finds herself on the first day of school speechless due to a boy named junkokoro (pure heart shortened) she was attracted to his name because it was a polar opposite to hers. (Yandere girl, yes) anyway setting that aside she does creepy things but she suffers from depression and anxiety and is prone to be a little out of her rocker. she is 14 and shes otherwise normal the cat ears and tail are white and she is most commonly found in hoodies/ sweatpants or her school uniform witch is standard looking. She does not have paranormal powers shes just crazy. She has a friend named savimew my friends oc maybe she will tell you about that

I was very surprised that my character only got 7%, because in my roleplay group we always make fun of this particular character because she's so over-the-top. Then again, I suppose her flaws do make up for it. I wasn't sure what to put for the royalty/nobility question because while she is the king's niece, she grew up in poverty, as her uncle married his way into the throne.

22% for my character Target, I have a book on wattpad called Purchase where stores are characters and Target is just the transgender cinnamon roll who has a short temper and a short height. Shortest of his friends, actually. /so precious to me/ But wowie, 22%? Target is almost everything I'd want to be and is slightly based off of me but wowza ._.

I got 35%, and I was just answering the quiz about myself. Like, literally my whole life and personality was used to answer the questions. My own existence, in real life, is closer to a Mary Sue than most of these people evaluating their own fictional characters. Maybe the defining characteristics behind a "Mary Sue" should be reconsidered at this point? You can have a goddamn tragic past and not be looking for attention.

Her name is Briar Rose, she is from a country known for not having any powers but still rivaling the strongest country, she trained her whole life to protect her country from beasts because of an incident that led to them getting kicked out of the continent and getting no rights/privilege of protection. She found out about the truth of the reason why us because her ancestor made weapons that scared the celestial royalty(highest royalty, like the noble of nobles) so they killed the ancestor and threw away the country. And so she decided to gather the weapons(which are given to different countries as treasure) then kill the celestial royalties.

No tragic past if you don't count the fighting off beasts to survive

I was afraid she is too op because I had to make her be able to fight entire countries but I managed to do some plot to make her over average but not godlike op

I was really glad she didn't turn out to be a mary sue

My character is my danganronpa self-insert oc! Her name is Ramiko Kinos---a, she doesnt have any special powers due to the fact powers dont really exist in Danganronpa, its just teens trying to escape a school.

Shes 18-19 years old, has black hair thats into two small down pig tails, Shes African American (In real life my skin tone is more of a lighter brown color, but my Dr oc is fully colored brown.) And her outfit is mostly black and grey, and has an athletic body shape.

She is the Ultimate Personal Fitness Trainer.

She doesnt have any trauma surprisingly, and It kinda makes me feel like my oc is kinda Mary Sue-ish.. its because I cant really think of any type of traumatizing backstory for her. I may change this if I ever do update my oc lore.

My oc lives with her Mother, Grandmother, Grandfather, and Dog!

(I live with my Mom, Grandmother, and dog irl. But my Grandfather passed away in 2018, Rest In Peace to him.)

I shipped my oc with Chihiro Fujisaki! Hes my comfort and highest kin character.

I wanted to make my oc have a female muscular type of body due to the fact I wanted to make my oc look a bit unique!

Chihiro is a shy person, so I decided to do the opposite with my oc and make her strong!

This is a good tip if you want to make self-insert ocs! Try to make your oc kinda the opposite than the character your self-shipping yourself with.

I got 23%. Not horrible, Id say. My OC is a catboy- or- cat nb- who was based off of the infamous UwU cat. Their name is Jay. They wear a lot of pink and have pink hair and eyes, different shades, though. Theyre generally sweet, but just a little bit egotistical sometimes. One person fell in love with them (it was, of course, my own version of the infamous demon alpha wolf bad boy). They also have autism. I love them so much.

I also got 27% for a different OC. His name is Yukio, and hes sort of based off of Eijiro Kirishima. Hes kind to people and also insecure. He also has red hair and eyes- but in a different way than Kirishima. I know that doesnt make sense- but yk. He lived in an abusive household until he was rescued by another one of my OCs when he was about 16 or 15. Hes also autistic because I make all of my OCs somewhat like me nobody has ever fallen in love with him, but that wasnt an option so I had to put 1-3. Anyways, I love him too

I did this for my OC named Zander and I got 13%

He lives in a post apocalyptic distant frozen desert land that was ravaged by global warming and then machines.

He's kind of like this tired 30+ old scientist that was tasked long ago by the government to retrieve life on earth 1000+ years after the catastrophy.

He was genetically preserved in a tank in a secret labratory underground where he was released from after all attempts of stopping the catastrophy failed, 18 yrs old at the time and tasked to literally reboot the entire eco system is kind of a big burden to put on barely an adult.

He lives in that labratory and almost exclusively never goes out because he's terrified he might catch a disease or get hurt and that might halt his progress in his research, so basically a wimpy mad scientist guy in a post apocalyptic sci-fi setting.

Zander is 6'2 in height, lean with almost no muscle and a really pale complexion, he has curly shoulder length brown hair and usually wears a long brown trench coat and a grey turtleneck underneath, he also wears round glasses and has pernament eye bags.

I got a 29% on the quiz, at first I was scared that Joseph was going to be a Mary sue because he did not have a horrible depressing back story like most shonen anime characters, but he is not. I am so happy because of that. Joseph is a 16 year old apprentice mage that specializes in healing magic an he joined a guild of other people that use magic too. He soon makes friends along his journey of becoming a mage and he makes a group of friends. That's all the story is for now, I will make many changes to it. I am just sooooo happy that Joseph is not a mary sue I love him too much to change him.

Airbus is a 19 year old air dragon that is in high school and is roommates with a friend she's had since middle school named Emily. She has wind elemental powers, but is lazy so she doesn't use them much. She also is overweight, but she still tries to go above and beyond when it comes to helping people. Is this good because I left a TON of details out because I didn't want to go past the character limit.

My oc is named Malina Jade Coswell, (one of seven main characters yes theyre ALL main characters) shes 14, has blonde-brown hair, and jade green eyes. When she was 4 years old her mom left her at a big school for elementalists from different dimensions to train for the war. Now, Malina is a darkness elementalist, but was unable to awaken her power for years. Blah blah blah stuff happens (too long and detailed, youll get bored) she gets her powers of controlling the shadows and stuff, and oooo juicy plot she kills her best friend/requited love with a gun.

Umm what else. Oh ya she can selfish and smug, and sometimes overly-cruel(in battle?). Shes kinda dependent on her friends cause theyre the only ones shes got, and one of them, who shares the same element as her, can stop her if she gets to voilent.

But, yknow overall shes a good person, cause in the end she noticed not just her friends mistakes but also hers, and was able to save the real good guy.

Well I cant think of anything else so thats all for now.

Lololololol I can't say I'm all that surprised with the 7% I got. I love the old man dearly, but I haven't done nearly enough to flesh him out. His name is Gary and he's an old blind guy who's really into death metal and being a good dad. He makes a living by making and selling custom electric guitars and he spends most of his free time doing artsy s--- with his adopted daughter. The kid's name is Blake, and they're actually supposed to be the main character but shhhh don't tell anyone.

I got 20%. My OC is a bit of an antihero in the way that she's extremely physically hostile towards almost anyone due to trauma in the past, and is generally viewed as a bully when the story starts. (She develops into a much more kind person as the story goes on with the help of another friend.) My story involves two races, Imps, and Sprites. Essentially, when you die, depending on how you do on a written test, you become an Imp or a Sprite. Imps bring suffering on human beings who deserve the punishment. For example: A guy cheats on his partner, but the partner divorces him. An imp would be sent down to earth in human form, pretend to be in love with the guy, perhaps marry them, and cheat on him, purposefully getting caught. Sprites bring good fortune to those who deserve it. For example: If a child gave their umbrella to a cat being soaked in the rain resulting in them getting soaked, a sprite would give the child an umbrella big enough for the two of them. Now that that's out of the way: My OC is around 5'1-5"5 throughout the course of the story as she ages. She has short, messy purple hair, light purple skin, freckles, a muscular build, purple eyes, and dark purple horns. She tends to not care about her appearance, as it is not important to her. (Imp/sprite children only age until about 18. If an adult dies who's under 65, they stay their age forever. If an adult dies over the age of 65, they revert back to around age 40.) A quirk about her is that she has emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and can be brought to tears if the subject of sickness is brought up. (this is a bit of a self insert from me as i personally have it, hehe.) Most people do not like her at the start of the story due to her being a massive jerk, but as the story progresses she gets a few close friends as she stops being so selfish. I'm sorry if this made no sense, I wrote this out for fun.

Alright, so I took this quiz for my Detroit Become Human fan character, an AP700 android called Lina. I got 15%, which Im not sure is accurate, although it could be.

Pretty much she worked in situation similar to Markus, where she worked for a rich human who treated as part of the family. She was named by his daughter, who named Lina after her mom, Carolina. Lina had to take care of the girl, a 7 year old whos name is Carla. She also had to clean the house for them, make their food, all the regular duties of her model. But she saw on the news what was going on outside, androids getting rounded up and sent to camps. She became a devient as a cause of it, and left that same night without telling anyone. She tried to find her way to Jericho. She almost got killed in the streets by some drunken idiots who blamed androids for everything, barely getting away in time. She was injured, and found help at Jericho. However, Lina did have to escape, like everyone else, when Jericho was attacked by the FBI. She got severely injured, getting shot at by guards. Luckily the bullets didnt hit any bio components. She ran back to her family, who had been searching for her, trying to tell themselves that she wasnt dead. They found her huddled in an alleyway near their house, and managed to patch her up before any damage could be done from the cold.

Honestly 15% is probably not enough, but I genuinely dont know

Did it with another character (in an original story). 21%... I need to spice her up a bit I think. Her name is Kanna Nightingale, and she was born and raised by her poor parents in criminal territory, which is why shes so good at fighting and in shape. Shes also born with one red and and one blue eye, which is considered dangerous where she lives, so she has to wear an eyepatch. When she is 13, a rapist tries something with her 7 year old sister, and he ends up seeing her eye, and stabbing it when shes trying to protect her sister. It turns out the rapist was actually a really powerful businessman, and he frames her parents for child abuse. He bribes the judge, and manages to sentence them to life in prison. Kanna, who is now missing an eye, blames herself and her parents for what happened (long story about the parents part) and hides her injury (shes now missing her red eye) from her brother and sister, and barely interacts with them for 4 years. She also becomes an illegal fighter, because she wants to save up enough money in order to get out of the town. Im still trying to write this story, but Im failing miserably...
