Accent is about "HOW" you say things, NOT what you think they mean. It's not accurate cause it doesn't measure the right things.

Weird. I was born and raised in Vancouver BC but came out as North Central. Maybe because my parents were from Ontario?
-
Pretty good--Born and raised in Ohio, lived the last 44 years in the Dallas, TX area! Def DON'T have a good radio voice though!!!

Interesting! The quiz said that I have a Midland accent. I'm a native of Lexington, KY. I always thought that I had a southern accent.
-
The results are exactly what I knew they would be...definitely a New Yorker. You will hear the pronunciations of my words when I speak.

-
Actual: 49 years in California, three in Minnesota, and eight and change in North Carolina. It said that I'm from Philly.

87% Philadelphia? Really? Born and bred in Alabama so that pretty much shoots down the results of this quiz! LOL!

Asking how pin and pen sound in general conversation has nothing to do with my accent. That depends on who is speaking!
-
Philadelphia! Spot on for me, too. I can pick out a Philly accent in other people, but didn't realize I had it myself.
-
After personal observation and reading comments this test is put together by someone who is cuing it to one particular outcome

Where in America is an Inland North accent? Evidently I have an Inland North accent. I have lived in NY, CT, CA, PA and FL. So what does it mean? Sign me puzzled.

It said I talk like a New Yorker. Close. I'm from New Orleans, and the two accents are actually very similar.
-
I am a difficult mix. Where have I spent the most time? NJ 23 years, Delaware Valley, 7 years, Austin, TX 6 yrs, Houston, TX 1 yr, and some other places. I am very hard to place.
-
You hit the nail right on the head! I am a born and raised native of (not the suburbs!!)Northeast Philadelphia!! I am very impressed!
mgbonner1 -
Nope, sorry, not a northeasterner, but a Pacific Coast from infancy to now; with a background of the deep South from family members.
-
I was born in VA, raised in PA and have lived in Florida for over 30 years. So, I guess Midland is accurate. But I think having good diction is the key.

I seemingly have a Boston accent, but I am born and bred Scotland's east coast and have lived here all my life.
