Right -- I haven't lived in Philadelphia for YEARS. But I never lived or went to south or west Philly much, so don't know the street sequences. Right -- it's not called "the SUB" -- I think it's still the SUBWAY. Chelten Avenue is in the northwest -- Germantown area.

A lot of the questions were silly. I have lived in Philly all of my life and there are people who do call the subway the sub. It just depends on what part of Philly you live in.
Girard runs from North to West Philly. There were so many errors with this. They tried.

I have never heard anyone call the Subway, The Sub............Not by a Philadelphian...My answer the regional rail line was the closest to the right answer in that group, although no one would refer to "The train" as the Regional rail Line either...The train is the train and the subway is the SUBWAY!!!
EBBS1-
Yup. The Subway, the train (used to be "which one, Reading or Pennsy). the Speed Line, the El. Also, formerly a bus or trolley.
The person who compiled this "quiz" might not have been from Philly.

I got 67% Philly, and you are correct I lived in Philly more than 5 years ago, in fact my first 19 yrs were in West Philly where I was born. Now I agree about the "sub" , I always called it the "Broad street subway". All-in-all good job folks.

Agreed on "Wanamaker" spelling. I think they also should have included some questions about the Regional Rail: "Which train is NOT a train on the Regional Rail?" R1 R3 R4 R8 R6 R5?
I did learn about "Kennedy Park". Didn't know that one.
TLM1 -
First, New Castle county DE and Chester county PA do not border Philly. Also, the old Wanamaker's hasn't been Lord & Taylor since 2006. Its now Macy's.
-
Questions 5 and 20 are wrong. Both Chester and New Castle co don't border Phila. Also, Chelten Ave IS in North Philadelphia.

Whoever put this quiz together misspelled Wanamaker. It only has one n not 2.

Girard Avenue is an answer to streets in both North and West Philly.... also, "the sub" is laughable
