Giving Love A Shot Part 25

I'm so sry this is out so late. D: I've been sick lately. Anyways, part 24 didn't show up under the new quizzes board, so go take it! Please read the paragraphs. c: I did put the contest in this part, put your score and character in the comments. . .

Our "When Will I Die" Quiz?

  1. "”Did I die? Did I kill? I'm supposed to be dead, aren't I?"” Ben thought as he lay on the fields of the barnyard. His neck was throbbing and probably was broken. Somehow though, he managed to look to his right, where he heard the opponent's dead body fall as the sword was thrusted through the throat. He cringed. The face had already been covered with blood and sweat. From the neck down it was a blood bath. Literally it looked like he had soaked in blood. The man's death face was the worst. It made Ben nautious, but the effort to turn toward his deceased enemy took enough strength. He felt extremely guilty, yet at the same time he felt he was saving more lives by killing the man. "”If I'm saving the innocent, why does this bother me so much?"” he pondered. And that's when it hit him. This man, the horror-stricken face he was now forced to stare into, was the first, and only, human he'd ever killed. He wept. Not out of sorrow, he didn't know the man, but out of disgust. "Why did we have to fight?" he asked between sobs. Eventually the pain and the dead body got to him and he retched. "”Great, now I'm going to die with a severed neck, looking at the man that not only caused it, but I killed, and my face in my own vomit. Plesant. . ."” he realized. As his eyes were blinking shut, his last dying moments, someone slipped into his thoughts. "”___________,"” His eyes snapped open and he closed a fist around his sword. "I'll find you," he whispered, looking at the sword, but speaking to __________. He swallowed uneasily. "and it might be the last thing I do. . ." he left off, not wishing to think about dying, just being with her. With that promise he dragged himself as quickly and as carefully and as carefully as he could to, anywhere really. He had no idea until four words popped into his mind. "”Find Sean, find her."”
  2. She wiped tears from her eyes, Kyle's as well. They were both dying and they couldn't escape their fate. "Nothing's going to save us" Kyle announced the worst, but calmly. Lucy nodded, stroking Kyle's face and tracing his squarish jaw. "I know" she said grimly. "Lucy," he started, he wanted to make it short because he knew they didn't have much time left. "Yeah?" "In all of this. . . I'm just really glad we got to be such good friends. Since we were kids we always got along great and you were"”" he paused to take a breath and corrected himself. "Are so beautiful." he looked her straight in the eyes. "The reason I never asked you out, why everyone thought we were just friends is because I never thought I'd have a chance, but now since this is the end. . ." a single tear ran down his grimy face as he got choked up. "Lucy, I love you." he finished and searched her eyes for a reaction. She stopped tracing his jawline, but instead put her whole hand on his cheek, caressing it. "I love you too" she stated and leaned down to share a first, and final kiss. But she instead whispered, "I knew you did, but it's your job to make the first move." He chuckled and put one hand on her upper back and the other on her face. "Just be glad I did" he whispered. They used their last time in our world to be happy and their last breaths on their kiss.
  3. It took all my willpower, but my consciene finally won over my mind and body. "Get off." I growled. "As you wish" he said in an irritatingly seductive tone. I grabbed the dagger and made a move towards his sword. He snatched it as my nailtips came in contact with the hilt. He faked a hurt look. "If I didn't know you loved me, I'd say you're trying to kill me." he informed with a pout. "I will never love you" I said in the same menacing, animal-like growl. "Now hun, stop using that tone. It'll hurt your beautious voice" he purred. "That tone will only get you a prostitue." I muttered. He chuckled and polished his sword with a clean spot in his shirt. "Then it should work on you" My jaw dropped hearing that. "I am not a slut!" I exclaimed in defense. "Of course not dearie, however. . ." he paused to look me over. "What?!" I asked, this was seeming more like a boy-wants-girl-but-trashes-girl moment more than boy-is-evil-and-girl-must-kill. "Mmmmm, nothing" he decided. We were both standing and he gave me a crooked grin. It made him look almost handsome. He lunged at me and I swiftly deflected the blade with my own. He nodded. "Not bad probie." he said in a tone similar to Tony DiNozzo's from NCIS. "I'm not new to this" I replied haughtily. He chuckled and shook his head. "Of course you're not. Let's find you and nickname you do like, shall we?" he asked. He was being so confusing. "Okay, what the hell is up with this?! First you try to kill me, you try to kill me again, you kidnap my friend, you practically had sex with me on the ground over there," I pointed to the spot we were laying a few minutes ago. "You tried to kill me, yet again, and now you want to give me a nickname. What the fu** is up with that?!" I demanded with me hands on my hips. "Well, we have a fiesty little one don't we. It's a game you see." he started circling around me, but I hadn't noticed until now, examining me. Like a prize. Or like prey.
  4. I stared at him blankly. Well, not entirely. My eyes hate hatred in them, probably some confusion. Ignoring the hate, he explained further. "Think of it as someone denying their love for another to the extreme." he said slowly, probably so I could understand it. "Oh." He smiled. "Now, about that nickname. . . How does kitten sound?" I laughed. "Are you serious? That's so stupid sounding." As much as I love kittens, that nickname was made out of pure stupidity. He gave me a faked offended expression. "Well it suits you. Small, helpless, but yet at the same time rather. . . adorable." he gave me that crooked grin again. Some feelings of joy started boiling inside me as I thought about how nice the smile looked. "”Oh yes, very attractive. Too bad he's a mad man THAT IS TRYING TO KILL YOU!"” my conscience reminded me. "Thanks conscience" I whispered to myself. I took another chance and rolled to try and get his leg. He didn't stab at me, but I managed to cut the outer side of his right leg. He grimmaced and winced, but still resisted stabbing m back as I rolled past. It seemed he didn't hurt me if he knew I couldn't dodge it.
  5. Ben didn't think, he just spoke to himself which made sense to him as thinking. "Sean better not have done anything to her, or more blood will be shed" he muttered as he dragged himself along the barnyard. It seemed oddly quiet. Like people were letting him pass. If the pain hadn't been blurring everything, he might've noticed in time.
  6. Alex ran into Matt. Literally. "Matt?" he whispered to the darkness. "Yeah, I'm here." he replied softly. "Why is it so. . ." Alex started, not wanting to finish the sentence. "Dead?" Matt asked blandly. "Yeah" Alex mouthed. "They're all dead. It's probably just some of us and the rest have gone. It's up to Sean and _________ now" he admitted solemly. "Oh God. . ." Alex said, not able to picture the bloodbath. "C'mon, lets just try and find others." he decided before he could get too caught up thinking. "Sounds good" Matt said, removing the ring so he'd be visible.
  7. They walked cautiously, yet quickly. Thorough, but discret. Matt found Kyle and Lucy first. Lucy was on top of Kyle, their final moments sealed with a kiss. The boys decided to leave the bodies as they were, but tried their best to remove the arrows and make their final resting place pretty. Their spirits must've taken their leave already, the bodies would soon disapear as well. Venturing onwards, they discussed who was left. "Well Mitchy, Ben, and ________ were here before the rest of us." Matt began. "And Mitchy knew she was going to die, so it would be a waste of time to find her if the others are in trouble." Alex reasoned. Matt just nodded. Sure it seemed heartless, but the others needed them. "_______ is with Sean, she can handle herself for a bit, right?" Alex asked after a moment of silence. "Yeah, so there's Ben to look for. Then Claire and Grace. That's it right? Because Kyle and Lucy already. . ." Matt cut himself off not wanting to say 'dead'. "Gone. I know." Alex finished a bit harshly. It was a statement, he knew what was being said.

  9. Claire got over her shock of the vision. Mostly. She couldn't get the final image of the girl glaring into the eyes of Alex out. She heard a noise after a while, but ignored it. She didn't realize that noise was the difference between her life and dying until it was too late. Had she fled, she might still be alive. But she stayed and her body had been removed from the tree by an enemy, she didn't notice many details. Her body was twisted until her blood circulation ended and her veins snapped. She was dead in minutes, her killer getting away.
  10. Her face was smeared with blood. She wiped her forhead with her forearm. "Sorry guys, but this is how war works." Grace said solemly to the dead bodies surrounding her. All taken down by her. She wiped off her dagger with her jean leg and took off to find survivors on either side. It wasn't long until she caught up with the boys. She got a bear hug from Matt. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Why is your face covered with blood?" the questions poured out of him. Typical overprotective boyfriend. "I'm fine." she said curtly. "Where's everyone else?" when she finally had a turn to ask a question. The boy exchanged uncertain glances. Alex spoke, "We don't know exactly. We know Kyle, Lucy, and Mitchy are dead. As for Ben, ______, and "”" he paused barely getting out her name because the idea of losing her? He pushed it out of his mind. "And Lucy" He finished the sentence strong. Grace gave him a slight nod. The stood in a small circle, saying nothing, but knowing that they were all thinking the same thing. "”How is this going to end?"”
