Random question: Did you know that according to british insurance companies, the unluckiest day of the year is actually Monday 27th. It's only Friday the 13th because of Freyja (or Freja)the norse goddess of fertility and beauty, who, during medieval times, was thought to be a witch. And because Friday comes from Freyja's day, Friday became unlucky. In south America (I think) they aren't scared of a Friday the thirteenth, it's a tuesday the thirteenth, because in spanish(I think that this is correct) tuesday=martes, which is derived from Mars, the roman god of war. The thirteen comes from a)the bible, so the 12 disciples, and the 13th is Judas iscariot who betrays Jesus, and b) norse mythology, the gods had a feast, and Loki planned to kill /balder. This was hard, because everything had promise not to kill him (Balder was the god of song and poetry, and also called Balder the beautiful). Everything except mistletoe. Loki made an arrow out of mistletoe, and tricked two gods into firing it at Balder. Balder died, and Loki stood in his way to stop him from leaving the underworld. Guess how many gods were invited to that feast? 13, and minus Loki, 12.
