Ok so a bit about the main character. She has blonde hair and grey eyes. She has a fiery personality and somewhat of an attitude. She is an outsider. People can tell she's different. She can see auras and ghosts and she is a newly turned werewolf.

RED: life force, survival, raw passion, anger, frustration, menstruation, determination, sense of importance, feeling overwhelmed by change ORANGE: sensuality, physical pleasure, emotional self-expression, creativity, lacking reason, lacking self-discipline, health, vitality YELLOW: mental alertness, analytical thought, happiness, optimism, child-like, ego driven, thinking at expense of feeling GREEN: healing, peace, nurturing, new growth, fear, need for security, jealousy and envy, balance BLUE: verbal communication, freethinking, relating to structure and organization, emphasis on business, sadness, possibilities PURPLE: wisdom, authoritative, matriarchal, sense of superiority, controlling, imagination, intuition BROWN: grounding, down to earth, practical, invalidating, emphasizing body and denying spirit, feeling worth-less BLACK: issues relating to death, hatred, lack of forgiveness, unresolved karma, dark intentions, shadow games, needing compassion for self PINK: self-love, tenderness, emphasis on physical appearances, being 'nice' at expense of being 'real' WHITE (CLOUDY): New Age or religious energy, lacking consciousness, a cover-up, denial, being 'good' at expense of being 'whole' WHITE (CLEAR LIGHT): very high spiritual vibration, godly, divine, inspiration, seeing spiritual big picture, compassionate GOLD: high spiritual vibration, integrity, respect, freedom, clear seeing, integrating spirit and body, creating as spirit. The part before this is indeed a prologue so I might suggest you read that or you might get very confused. I do provide recaps though (not for the prologue though) and I always reply to comments even if I'm a little late. I enjoy writing this so I hope you enjoy reading!

APPRENTICES: A wolf in training for a rank. SHAMAN: Medicine wolf with spiritual connections. HEALERS: Helpers of the shaman. No spiritual connections. HUNTERS: Hunters. WARRIORS: Fighters. SENTINEL: Patrollers. SCOUTS: Warn the pack of danger. Visits other packs, messengers. ELDERS: Old wolves. PUP WATCHERS: Watches the pups. SUBORDINATES: Unranked wolves. OMEGA: The lowest of the low in wolf rankings. Usually used as slaves.
  3. That's how it all started. I am currently walking to that very shed where my pack lay in wait. Practically savoring the taste of the hunt on their tongues... the scent of perspiration already in the air from some of the runs that some of us took to get here. I opened the door to the shed and went to the main area. It wasn't the most joyous place here. Filled with the bodies of sweaty, adolescent male teens. Yea we only have a few females. Females are rare among us. I got turned July 4th. We call the dates we got turned our true birth date. I call it the day all hell comes loose. I sat down next to Michael (he's an apprentice) and faced away from all their savage eyes that were switching between the likes of a wolf and a human. It was hard being a female in a pack of males. We had two females. Chalice (pronounced: Sh-a-ly-s) and I. We had different names when we got turned. When we get turned we don't remember much about our past lives. I could vaguely make out my old name. It started with an A or something like that. I made up my new name with some help from Chalice. I had luckily remembered my old school and decided to stay away from it. So I transferred but shred the records that led to where. I now go to Westerly High School. It had been a few months since my first shift and there had been a few since. I'd learned most of their names but one stuck in my head. Dante. His name reverberated around my head all day and all night. I didn't know where it came from. It was just... there. The alpha suddenly walked in and everyone turned their heads. Behind him was Shaun. He was an omega and I felt kind of sorry for him. Some turned their heads away from him in disgust. Chalice sat down on the other side of me. Some of the others were staring hungrily at her. Lone females were very popular among packs. So they can reproduce the line. I recoiled in disgust and threw them looks that told them to leave her alone. The obeyed but I could still tell they were thinking about it.
  4. Today was an important meeting. Today we decided what the subordinates would be ranked. We had some open spots in our fields. I'm a subordinate. So is Chalice and a couple of others here. Our fate lies with the pack. Our alpha's name is Embry. He insists we call him that. We would prefer to call him alpha and I would like to not acknowledge him at all with his actual name but it was an alpha's order, we had to follow. "Pay attention!" Ordered Embry. I turned my head his way but made a look of boredom. "We will start with the males. Ranks. You all would originally get apprentice but we got some open holes in our pack since the last attack from the Trual pack. Ulric!" Ulric snapped his head up. "I decided what you get. Don't like it. Put up with it. Ulric you got hunter." Embry held up his piece of paper. "Chalice, healer! Michael you're due for a rank, delta male. Clayton, beta male!" After that I wasn't really listening. The command to pay attention was wearing off. The ghosts were capturing my attention. There was one I was friends with believe it or not. She was floating there. Her name was Ember believe it or not. 'What do you think he's been taking Cy? He seems crankier than usual.' I laughed silently and replied through thoughts. 'I have no idea what's wrong with him.' I snapped out of my conversation with Em after a while and found he was still going through ranks. At the end I still didn't know what I was. "Cy pay attention." Chalice whispered to me. "Oh I'm sorry was he talking?" I whispered back and she giggled. He finished going through the ranks and then Chalice shouted. "You didn't say what Cy was!" "Oh... right her." He looked through his list. "I really don't have time for this." I said. "I've got school." I was about to leave and Embry shouted hen I shut the door. "Come back here Cyra!" "Make me!" I shouted back. I don't know what happened. I shouldn't have been able to defy his command. How strange.
  5. He didn't have a rank for me. Fine, I'm still a subordinate then. I don't get why Chalice and I weren't placed as Delta/Beta female. We only had two females. I arrived at school and threw my backpack into my locker. You know how in every story the main character usually has friends. I know I'm in real life because I have no real friends. I have a pack of werewolves and a bunch of ghosts that float around. Not much of 'real' friends. I sat alone at my desk again. I sighed to myself as we started the lesson. School was my time where I could get away and pretend that I was normal. Or at least it was supposed to be. It's kind of hard to plan regular sleepovers and parties when no on wants to come to them. I never get invited to movies or parties or get asked on dates either. I think they can all sense that I'm different and that scares them. So they stay away. I reckon they should anyway. Suddenly the bell interrupted my thoughts and we collected up our books. "Don't forget to find a partner for the assignment! If you don't find one then I'll arrange one for you next lesson!" Great... next lesson was tomorrow and I don't think I could weasel out of any other classes cause I was always sick and they were starting not to buy it anymore. I was here on scholarship and had some very thin boundaries at the moment. They kept their eyes one me. I put my head into a book at lunch period. Best way to get away. I would always pretend I was one of those characters in the books that fall in love and meet their soul mates and have magnificent adventures. "Hello?" I looked up from my book. "Yes?"
  6. It was Embry. "We need you to come back. Now." "Make me." I said again. "I might just take you up on that offer." He replied. I put down my book and almost threw it into my backpack. Why can't these supernatural things leave me alone for just one bit of piece and quite? I guess that's what you get when your two best friends are a werewolf and a ghost and can see people's auras. I followed him into the forest and into the shed. "Why did you disobey my order?" He asked me. "Because I felt like it." I said but when I said that I knew something was wrong. Very wrong. No one did the things I do to my alpha without something being very wrong. "Have you been out on your own recently?" He asked me. "Well you sent me on that hunt with Lee and he caught sent of a deer for a second and left but nothing happened I don't think." He backhanded Lee. "Do you know how much that can affect this pack if there is something wrong?!" He wasn't very happy. There was a howl in the distance. "Everyone get in positions!" Embry shouted. "Chalice and Cyra stay out of the way! They've come to claim..."
