Thread Topic: Hot Potato Game
-
Rules:
Ask to join.
Using a random generator, I will pick a few people to start as the Hot Potato. To pass on the hot potato, the Hot Potato will enter a thread the other players are in (NO INVADING ROLEPLAYS IN THE STAGE) and have posted in within an hour, they say, "Potato," in the thread and leave. The players stop the Hot Potato by organizing themselves and the other players in a single thread and posting. That way, the Hot Potato explodes and will be passed on to another person. (Exploded hot potato is free to add some twists to the game but as an exploded potato, you can’t just simply say, "Oh, Marie over there wins the game.") There will be a certain amount of Hot Potatoes chosen at the beginning (depending on how many people join), and if they all fail to "tag" one person each, the survivors win. If they succeed, the Potatoes win.
Ask to join.
Very long rules and explanation, I know. -
Wait, can you explain how the hot potato is "passed" again?
-
Hot Potato person will just casually enter a thread the other non-potatoes are in and say something like "you're tagged" to let them know. If the person they're after hasn’t posted in within an hour in the thread, it doesn’t count.
-
And if they do?
-
The person they "tagged" is the next hot potato and tries not to blow up.
You defeat the Hot Potato by organizing you and all of your non-potato associated friends in a single thread and all of you have to post right under the Hot Potato's nose, this is very risky :p -
But
1. Not everyone that wants to play will be able to be on at the same time
2. Right under the Hot Potatoes nose? Why can't the Hot Potato know about it, and what if they see it happening? -
the hot potato can know about it, sometimes i speak funny
If the hot potato sees it happening but everyone has already posted, the potato has failed :p
If they are still struggling and organizing themselves, the hot potato is free to tag anyone but the non potatoes cannot try to win using the same thread
That's true, because timezones, and I wanted to make it hard, but they are still allowed off-site planning to give them a tiny advantage -
How do they "organize" themselves?
-
They plan in either a thread that the Hot Potato doesn't know about or organize themselves offsite.
-
Plan what?
-
to win ;-;
-
How do you organize?
