Because you're old enough to realize that you can't stay in your room forever. You long to be productive, but your life won't allow you to pursue what you're interested in, so you hide - hiding from responsibility. You don't want to socialize because people your age are either in relationship, have a good job, or are more active socially so you can't relate to them. You end up looking like a loser to them.
Not to mention the expectations of your parents or friends that you find impossible to live up to. You're falling behind, waiting for something to magically happen to make your life better.
Games (or anything) is no longer giving you satisfaction because you're life is beginning to stagnate and you are aware of this. -
This is basically an explanation of my life. I want to prosper, I just don't like the idea of becoming an adult and dealing with the scary thing called life.
