Yeah, my thing about Marinette is first of all, she acts so Terrible sometimes and she gets no punishment for it. Like being a crazy stalker, she knows Adrian's entire schedule, she can't really have a decent conversation with him, and she'll publicly humiliate people just for being interested in him

Lol, yeah I can’t really argue with the stalker part...XD My only defense on that is it shows how young and immature/naive she really is, despite being the superhero who saves Paris all the time. Does she obsess over Adrien? Yes. XP Does she get flustered around him? Yes. But she doesn’t let that stop her from helping and thinking of other people. Like in Gigantitan when they had this big plan to meet Adrien but she took the time to help a mom with her baby. Or in Guiltrip when she quickly refocused on finding Juleka after bumping into Adrien.
One of the reasons I like Marinette is because she does make mistakes (okay, a lot of mistakes) but she learns from them and tries to do better. (To quote Adrien) She’s kind and means well. ;) She stands up for her friends and tries to make everyone feel special and included. She doesn’t give up easily and she keeps a good attitude even when things are going bad.
She’s brave, smart, compassionate, and I love how quirky she is. XD -
(Though she does KILL me with second-hand embarrassment sometimes XD )

Actually, there are times where she does let her obsession get in the way of Saving the world. Like when she transformed to steal Adrian's phone and completely skip the unveiling of a statue made for her by an artist who cared and would've done anything for her to see it. Also she knows the stalking is wrong and she does it anyways, that's not immaturity that's straight up breaking the law

Weeellllll....yep, stalking is totally wrong and I don’t know why the show lets her be so totally insane XD. As far as the statue incident...[please bear with my thinking-through response ;) ] the world was technically not in danger at the moment, and she had no idea her appearance was so important to the guy, and Ladybug isn’t supposed to be a star anyway so it’s understandable that she gave priority to her civilian life.
Now as far as the reason she gave priority...XP
I mean, that message would’ve been pretty embarrassing and it’d be hard to face Adrien again after that, so I understand why it was so important to her (especially as it was early in the series and they didn’t have much of a friendship yet) however I definitely don’t think stealing his phone was a good idea.
If that were me, I probably would’ve told Adrien that I left him a voicemail by mistake, begged him not to listen to it/delete it and him being the honorable boy he is he probably would have....idk, what would you have done? (There’s definitely a better way)
So yeah, I agree that stalking is wrong, (hopefully she drops that habit), and stealing Adrien’s phone was a terrible idea, however I don’t think Marinette would let even her infatuation with Adrien stop her from protecting Paris, and she had no way of knowing the artist had a crush on her and would get akumatized.
Is there anything you do like about Marinette? :) -
