tongue ExperiencedBecause I am self-important enough to think you all care, I will be chronicling my Boston Red Sox throughout the season, or at least until I stop caring.

tongue Experienced4/8- The Red Sox beat the Yankees 9-6 in their home opener. It is their first win a season that opened with six straight losses. The rotation remains a question mark, particular today's starter John Lackey, whose struggles continued as he gave up 6 runs in five innnings. Boston's bats were blazing today, however, buoyed by a solo homer by Dustin Pedroia in the first inning, a 5-run second inning, and a tie-breaking single in the fifth by JD Drew. The bullpen was also impressive, holding the Yankees without a run through the final four innings. In my opinion, getting your first win of the season against your arch rivals makes up for the slow start. Keep it up Sox!

tongue Experienced4/9- Red Sox lose to the Yankees 9-4. Just an all around bad game.
-
tongue Experienced4/10- Red Sox beat Yankees 4-0, taking two out of three games in the series. Tonight's MVP was Josh Beckett, who went 8 innings tonight and pitched an absolute gem.

tongue ExperiencedOk I'll keep writing. I don't think I'll write about every game, but I'll certainly write whenever the Sox play the Yankees.
