Lavender rolled her eyes. "Please tell me?" She asked with an innocent look.

‘No.’

"Why not?"

‘B-Because,’ Maeve mumbled, blushing.

"You're red again..." Lavender teased. "Please tell me?" She knew it was rude to pry, but she was very curious.

Maeve blushed harder. ‘Y-You’re just cute when you blush, okay?’ she said quietly, hoping she wouldn’t hear. ‘In a not-weird way.’

Lavender froze, blushing. A small, nervous smile starting forming. "I- that-"

Maeve buried her face in her hands. ‘Sorry.’

Lavender's smile disappeared. She took her hands and pulled them away slowly. "I'm not upset." She said so quietly that she didn't know if Maeve would hear.

Maeve was blushing bright red. ‘Sorry, it weird..’

Lavender shook her head. "I'm not upset." She repeated, trying to get her to look up.

‘You sure?’

Lavender nodded. "Very sure." She wanted to kiss her, or at least the top of her head. She leaned closer before hesitating. If it was too weird to admit that one of them was cute, this would definitely be too much too soon.
