"I love you, Mason~" Chris said softly, kissing Mason's cheek with a smile.

Mason blushed, looking up at him. He still felt bad for not being able to say it back.

Chris admired Mason with a lovesick grin, kissing his lips. "Please, don't feel bad about not saying it," he said after he pulled back, holding his boyfriend close.

Mason leaned into his touch, sighing. ‘Okay,’ he mumbled. ‘I just don’t want it to seem like I’m leading you on.’

"You're not, I promise," Chris replied with a smile, holding Mason close. "I mean, I was the same way when first dated, right?"

‘I-I guess.’

"Right~ So, don't sweat it, okay, hun?" Chris said, watching Mason with a small smile.

‘Okay,’ Mason mumbled, snuggling close.

Chris smiled a little, holding Mason close. "Seriously, I'm not like upset or annoyed or anything, I promise," he spoke softly, rubbing his back.

‘Okay,’ Mason mumbled, sighing. ‘I’m still sorry, though.’

"Stop that, you don't have to say sorry," Chris said with a small smile, kissing Mason's head.

Mason leaned into his touch. ‘Sorry,’ he said again with a small smile.

"Stop that, mister~" Chris playfully whined, chuckling softly. "Don't apologize for apologizing- and don't apologize for that, either~!"

Mason laughed. ‘Fine, fine!’ he huffed, slumping against him.

"Thank you~" Chris said with a smile, holding Mason close and kissing his head.
