"I haven't really done much, I started practicing the ukulele but I'm still dog water at it. I got a gig at the science museum but it didn't go well, they were not a fan of Elton John." Boris said. He tapped the cup he was holding. Something was just outside of his line of vision and he knew it. It wouldn't go inside though, inside was safe.
-
"Well, the ukulele is fun!" She said, excited that Boris picked up the instrument. She couldn't play anything to save her life. "Want a refill on the drink?" She asked, standing up. She was going to have to get ready soon. The dream kept eating at her though. Normally, she wouldn't put much thought into it, but there was something that just....wasn't right.
-
"I'm good. The ukulele makes my callouses peel. I feel like my hands are gonna fall off." Boris said. He scratched at his neck again. He shifted in his seat and looked towards the window again. A red bird flew past.
-
Marci nodded, and finally noticed a small mark that seemed to be on Boris' neck. "Did you hurt yourself?" She said, trying to get a closer look at it. "There seems to be a bruise on your neck." Marci said, puzzled. She was wondering how on earth he could've gotten a bruise there. It's not a very common place to bruise. "Does it hurt?" She asked.
-
"it's fine. I think it came from that bee sting. Remember? I can't believe it showed up right as... Oh right. Nevermind." Boris said. He scratched the bruise. He thought about his home and the events of the bee sting. Had the events happened yet?
-
Marci looked puzzled. A bee sting? It didn't look likea bee sting, and it definitely wasn't shaped like a bee sting. She could see that Boris didn't want to talk about it, so she didn't want to push the issue. "As long as you are okay, that's all that matters." She said softly, giving him a hug. Her curiosity was eating at her, but for now, she would leave it be.
-
"i love you Marci." Boris said, hugging Marci back. "I should hear back to my apartment so you can get ready. If you wouldn't mind hanging out with me today I could come back with my guitar, or we could go to half price books. I might not have been popular at the museum but I did get thirty dollars." Boris said.
-
"I love you too!" She said with a smile. "I think either would be a great idea! It would give me time to get ready!" She half chuckled at her statement, realizing she probably looked like a hot mess. She gave Boris another quick hug, and stood up. "What do you day to meeting up in....an hour?"
-
"sounds great to me, I'll be back in an hour to ring the doorbell." Boris said, standing up. He waved before stepping out. He looked around then he walked away from the houses.
-
Marci watched as Boris left, and quickly made her way up to her bedroom. Something about that bruise on Boris' neck did not sit right with her. She quickly got ready, throwing on a pair of jeans, and a light-weight hoodie. She stared at the physics books on her shelf. She wanted to pull them down to read. She felt like something in them would help, but against her better judgment she didn't. She headed back downstairs, and threw on a pair of black Vans.
-
Boris lifted up a dusty old rock. Underneath was a photo. It was a concert. He was sitting beside Marci and laughing. There was a bee just in the corner of the frame. He looked from left to right before setting down the rock.
-
As she tied her shoes, she threw up her hair Ina messy pony-tail. She was excited to go somewhere today. She honestly didn't have any plans, and it would be good for her to get outside and get some fresh air. She walked into the kitchen, and pulled down a glass from the cabinet and poured some water in it. She drank the glass, before walking to her front door, and heading outside.
-
Boris went into his house to wash his hands. Things had to go well today. Perfect even, that's how everything would be fixed. He had everything down practically at this point. He grabbed his guitar and decided to tune it before setting it back in it's case.
