‘Er, I don’t know,’ Lawrence said, rubbing the back of his neck flusteredly, trying to focus. ‘E-Erm, nothing in particular, I guess.’ He glanced at Briar for a moment, blushed, then looked away almost immediately. -

“You sure~?” Briar asked, smirking playfully as he leaned closer to Lawrence. -
Lawrence blushed harder. ‘E-Er, yeah,’ he mumbled, looking at Briar flusteredly.

Briar giggled softly, watching Lawrence with a smile. “You sure? Because your face tells me other wise~”

Lawrence blushed bright red. ‘Sh-Shut up!’ he groaned, covering his face with his hands. ‘A-Are we still talking about drawing?’

“Maybe~” Briar teased, giggling. “I also really like to draw trees, if you couldn’t tell from my art- And rivers, getting all the little details in~”

Lawrence leaned against the wall, exhaling shakily. ‘Yeah, you’re really good at it,’ he said with a nervous smile. He fidgeted with his hands, cuddling his knees to his chest.

Briar smiled, nodding as he watched Lawrence for a moment. “But seriously, what- what’s your favorite thing to draw?”

Lawrence shrugged, fiddling with his hands. ‘I’m not entirely sure,’ he said quietly, shrugging.

Briar nodded, smiling. “That is understandable, sometimes it’s hard for me to choose just one thing I like to draw~” He replied, chuckling softly.

Lawrence gave a small smile. ‘Yeah, I don’t do it much, either,’ he said, rubbing the back of his neck.

Briar chuckled and nodded, running a hand through his dark curls.

Lawrence looked up at the ceiling, twisting the end of his blanket. -
(maybe we ts to like, when briar tries to bust lawrence out?
and do we want him to succeed, or do some sort of big gesture at the day or the execution??) -
(I’m thinking that briar tries to break out Lawrence, but the fail and briar gets punished by his father? Then there’s like a day till the execution and we get the all lovey dovey but there, but on the day of the execution Lawrence confesses to murdering briar’s mum and it’s all like “wait what” but briar finds a way to help Lawrence escape? Idk lol)
