Lawrence smiled wider and snuggled into him. ‘Did you get any sleep?’ he asked. He was somewhat mad at himself for falling asleep.

“Mm, nah- I think the alcohol kept me awake,” Briar said softly, hugging Lawrence close. “And I just, had a lot on my mind, I suppose.”

‘Fair enough,’ Lawrence said, resting his head on Briar’s chest. ‘What things were you thinking about?’

“What life will be like from now on,” Briar said softly, smiling a little as he ran his hand through Lawrence’s hair.

‘And what about it?’ Lawrence asked, looking up at him.

“About how amazing it’s gonna be~” Briar said, smiling as he kissed the top of Lawrence’s head. “And, I guess about what could go wrong, or what other people might be thinking- I’m trying not to think about that, though.”

Lawrence leaned into his touch. ‘Yeah, try not to think about that. What they think doesn’t matter,’ he said with a small smile.

Briar nodded, hugging Lawrence closer. He buried his face in his boyfriend’s hair, humming softly.

Lawrence held himself close.

Briar smiled as he ran his hand through Lawrence’s hair, humming softly. “I love you~”

‘I love you too,’ Lawrence mumbled.

Briar smiled happily as he held Lawrence close, continuing to massage his head.

Lawrence leaned into his touch, closing his eyes as he relaxed.

Briar hummed softly as he hugged Lawrence close with his other arm, kissing the top of his head as he ran his hands through his hair.

Lawrence smiled. ‘How long was I asleep?’
