“Aw, congrats, Havyn!” Eloise cheered, smiling happily. “Isn’t that awesome, Elliot?” “Yeah, just- Just great,” Elliot said quietly, a blank expression on his face. He closed his laptop and stood, pulling away from Havyn. “I- I need a minute,” he muttered, stepping over the laptop and walking out of the room. He accidentally slammed the door behind him, making Eloise a bit nervous. That doesn’t sound good…
-
Havyn sighed, burying her face in her hands.
-
“Hey, he’s not mad at you, I promise,” Eloise said, moving off the bed to sit beside Havyn. “If anything, he’s more upset at himself than anyone, alright? Please don’y beat yourself up over this,” they added, resting a hand on their friend’s back.
-
"I-I know, I just feel bad." Havyn sighed.
-
“I know- He just, needs a minute to think, is all,” Eloise said, rubbing Havyn’s back for a moment. “He does this all the time when he doesn’t get a part he thinks he’s gonna get in a show, he just needs some alone time to work out how he feels.”
-
"O-ok." Havyn mumbled.
(I gtg now sorry) -
(all good, see ya!)
Eloise exhaled softly, rubbing Havyn’s back for a moment. “I’m really proud of you, though- You got in! That’s amazing!” -
"Thanks." Havyn gave a weak smile. She didn't feel amazing. She knew Elliot deserved to go in.
-
Eloise exhaled softly, rubbing Havyn’s back. “Maybe you could try and talk to him? You might be able to calm him down some,” they spoke quietly, watching the girl.
-
"How? I'm practically the reason he's not in this stupid college."
-
“You’re not the reason, and we all know it,” Eloise said, furrowing their brows. “Plus, you’re his girlfriend, he’s more likely to listen to you than me-“
-
Havyn sighed. "Ok." She mumbled, standing up and knocking on the door. "Elliot?"
-
Elliot lifted his head, looking over at the bathroom door. He exhaled shakily and stood, moving over to the door and opening it. “I’m not mad at you, I swear-“ He spoke, tears in his eyes.
-
Havyn hugged him tightly. "I know." She mumbled. She was telling the truth. She didn't feel like he blamed her. She felt like he should.
-
Elliot exhaled shakily, hugging onto Havyn. “I just feel like a failure…” He muttered, resting his head on her shoulder. “I- I worked so f-f---ing hard, and they go and r-reject me??”
