Karl sat by the front gates of the school, pretending to be waiting for his ride. He'd left his board at home anyways, so hopefully if anyone asked, it would be believable. "So, like I was saying," Connor said to Nick as they walked up to the front gates, leaving the school before the rest of the team, "if you ever need anyone to talk to, or the others start giving you s---, just- let me know, okay? I've got your back, dude." -
“Yeah, okay, thanks, same to you,” Nick said with a small smile, dapping Connor up and saying goodbye. He saw Karl at the gates, smiling gently and heading to his car. He gestured for his boyfriend to come with him, glancing around for Ryder and Jared. They were probably already spreading rumors about it, and the thought of that made Nick want to throw up and cry, but he did his best to ignore the thought.

Connor smiled and waved, meeting his boyfriend at his car. He wrapped his arms around the boy and kissed him, making the brunette giggle and kiss him back. Karl jumped up and rushed over to Nick's car, smiling. "How was practice?" He asked, opening the passenger side door when his boyfriend unlocked the car. -

“Um,” Nick climbed in, shrugging as he started to car and drove away. “It was fine. How was the rest of your school?” -

"Fine, just- tiring," Karl replied with a sigh, throwing his bag in the back seat. "Still want to murder Ryder, but y'know, that's never new. Sorry about that, I- I should've just walked away."

“I don’t know,” Nick said quietly, focusing on the road. “They’re probably making some sort of rumors or somthing. Connor know, but he’s also gay so he’s cool- but the guys think I’m gay now and I’m f---ing scared of what they’re gonna do,” He whispered, his voice cracking slightly as tears welled up in his eyes.

imsoclueless SeniorKarl's heart ached for his boyfriend and he sighed, leaning over the center console. He wrapped his arms around Nick, hugging him tightly. "I know, and I'm terrified for you, too. But- Whatever happens, I will always, always be by your side, baby," he said in a soft, shaky voice, pressing a kiss on his boyfriend's cheek.
