Nick rolled the window up, speeding towards the school so he’d get there before Karl. He would’ve, but he was just a little paranoid. He parked and grabbed his bag, heading into the school.

Karl walked out of his last class before lunch, walking into cafeteria to get himself lunch. He walked over to the line, pulling out his phone and checking it for a moment. He glanced up to see the line moved and began to step forward, immediately being blocked by a group of guys hopping in line in front of him. "Uh, excuse me, I was in line-" One of the guys turned around and Karl groaned internally, glaring up at the taller guy. "Ryder, of course it's you."
(TWO THINGS: i totally didn't just make up a whole backstory for them in this timeline xD
and, i just had the craziest idea for smth silly to happen but i may wait till later for it to happen >:)) -

Nick was in the group of guys in front of Karl, doing his best to ignore the brunette and talk to his friends. -
imsoclueless Senior"Uhm, could I just, get my spot back?" Karl asked, taking a step forward. "You guys literally just- pushed me out of the way, and I was right there."
(so the idea i had was like, karl loses it and gets into a fight with ryder or smth, and nick like, goes to break it up (he can either pull karl back and defend him and make his friends suspicious of him, or pull ryder back and defend him, making karl a bit upset (whether or not he's genuinely defending ryder)
i'll do the backstory in a sec lol) -

“Nah, we’re here now, just wait your turn,” Ryder said, waving Karl off before turning to his friends. Nick shot Karl a small, apologetic look before turning away. -

Karl gave Nick a small, understanding look before glaring at Ryder, rolling his eyes. "Whatever, inconsiderate a--hole," he muttered, pulling out his phone. -
