Mahina paused for a moment before nodding and looking back down.

Ernie frowned. "Want to talk about it?" He asked quietly, holding her closer.

Mahina shook her head.

"Alright." Ernest dropped it, even though he wanted to ask more.

Mahina buried her face in his shirt.

Ernie held her tightly, playing with her hair to hopefully distract her.

Mahina leaned into his touch.

Ernest looked up at Selene. She knew Mahina much longer than he had. She probably knew how to make her feel better...

Selene looked up at Mahina. She smiled softly when she noticed Ernest looking at her for help and stood up, gently taking her fingers through Mahina’s hair. ‘How about I make your favourite dinner and we forget all about Henrik and Callisto, yeah? They’re not going to anything to us anymore.’

Ernie gave a small smile back before looking at Mahina again. "Does that sound good?"

Mahina nodded, leaning into Selene’s touch. Selene smiled and let go. ‘You two go cuddle in the bedroom, I’ll get started on dinner.’

"Do you want me to carry you?" Ernest asked. He was pretty sure he could carry her that far without getting too worn out.

Mahina chuckled and wrapped her arms around his neck. ‘You can try.’

Ernie made sure she was holding on to him tightly and picked her up carefully. "No promises that I won't drop you."

‘Hey!’ Mahina laughed, holding only him tightly.
