Ernie pulled her up gently, handing her some silverware.

Mahina sat next to him, eyeing the plate suspiciously.

Ernest took a bite out of the food. “It’s not bad.” He told Mahina, chuckling over her reaction.

‘Really?’

“Yeah.” He chuckled.

Mahina took a small bite out of the food.

Ernest rolled his eyes. “You’re treating it like it’s poison.” He teased.

‘It was flying!’

“And that’s supposed to make the food taste gross?” Ernie knew what she meant, but still felt like it was a fair question.

‘I-I guess!’

Ernie rolled his eyes, eating more of the food.

Mahina chuckled.

Ernest chuckled, looking up at Selene for a moment. “Thanks for lunch.” He said with a smile.

Selene nodded.

Ernie turned back to the food without another word.
