"Alright. Anything cool outside at night?"

'Not often. I think you should be very careful at night, if anything. I don't recommend venturing outside the castle walls.'

Jayden raised an eyebrow. "Why? Could I be able to go with Neo?" He didn't feel great about his bodyguard following him everywhere, but he'd lose his mind if he had to stay indoors at night. Night time was normally when he would go outside and think.

'Perhaps, but it'd be safer in the gardens, and even more so if you stay indoors.'

"Why?" Jayden asked in a mix of curiosity and nervousness as to what could happen to him otherwise.

'Vampires, werewolves and the like.'

Jayd's eyes widened in intrigue, having at least a couple thousand questions to ask about vampires and werewolves but not knowing if they were considered insensitive. "Cool."

'Cool? That's not the response I'd expect from someone who is specifically targetted by those species.'

"At least it'd look cool on my grave. Here lies King Jayden; died by werewolf."

'Much cooler than dying of old age,' Chester said, rolling his eyes.

Jayden nodded. "Exactly. And then it'd be a cool story for my heirs."

Chester blinked. 'I was being sarcastic.'

"A wise man once told me all jokes and sarcasm are at least somewhat true."
