Chester grinned.

Jayden kissed his nose. Maeve appeared next to the two of them.
"Jesus, can't you warn us before you do that?" Jayden laughed after jumping. -
Chester leaned into his touch and looked at Maeve. ‘You could knock, too.’

"How exactly do you want me to knock? We're in a garden." Maeve sat down next to them.

‘I dunno, the tree or something,’ Chester chuckled. ‘Do you need something?’ -
Maeve shrugged. "Just a quiet place."
