Jayden gave a small, fake smile.

Margaret went back to her food.

Chester glanced between them.

Jayden looked at Chester, smiling.

Chester smiled back.

Jayd leaned into him slightly, eating his food.

Chester let him, glad he was closer.

Jayden looked down, avoiding the stares he was getting from Margaret and Henry.
