Hey, I haven’t roleplayed in a while, but I need to distract myself with some things, so I thought why not give it another try? I love the writing and character aspect.
Here’s the idea I came up with:
Pirate Romance
A sea captain and his crew of pirates kidnap a princess to fuel the war between their different nations. The sea captain begins to grow fond of the princess. Will he let her go or keep her imprisoned?

Appearance: Warm toned/tan skin tone, dark brown hair that is a little past shoulder length, short beard/stubble, muscular and taller than the average height
Occupation: Sea captain
Strengths: skilled with swords and hand to hand combat, navigation, understanding foreign languages, strategic
Weaknesses: his crew (he would do anything to protect them), children and animals, overly confident
Background: Elliot was born in the kingdom of Vallaris. All Elliot has known since infancy was war. Vallaris had been at war with the Astucian Empire for decades. Growing up poor, Elliot would often steal from his village as a child, and had a knack for “treasure hunting.” Something always drew him to the ocean. His uncle was a great Sea captain and he admired him very much, so he decided to follow in his footsteps. -

Gender: Female

Race: African
Appearence: Light brown skin, with dark brown hair flowing down to just above her waist. She's about average height.
Occupation: Princess
Strengths: Sewing and embroidery. She tended to write short stories to pass the time, which became a hobby which she enjoyed and was quite good at. She's good with dealing with little kids and other princess-type things
Weaknesses: Not the best at athletic activities, and often overthinks things.
Backstory: She was born in The Astucian Empire, and since then has never been outside of it. She often dreamed about what would lie outside the castle walls, but because of the war nobody would let her out. -
