'No idea,' Morrigan said. She looked for a room or some kind of door.

Geistaz started hearing their voices. He heard Leonard say something, but couldn't make it out. "Let's hide there," he said, pointing to a damaged wall with a bookshelf leaning on it.

Morrigan nodded and hurried over to it.

Geistaz followed her as Leo and Galloper entered the castle.

They got to the bookshelf and Morrigan hid behind it.

Geistaz hid behind it too. A book from the bookshelf tipped over and fell, but didn't make much noise due to the smooth floor.

Morrigan held her breath and without realising it squeezed Geistaz's hand, praying in her head Galloper and Leonard wouldn't find them.

Geistaz closed his eyes. He just hoped that nothing bad would happen, but at this moment it seemed as if his hope was worthless.

Morrigan closed hers too, taking a deep breath. Footsteps of Galloper and Leo grew louder and softer, then louder again as the two looked around.

Geistaz took a deep breath, and then held it.

Morrigan heard the muffled voices of Galloper and Leo. After a moment they grew audible, which worried Morrigan.

Geistaz almost froze. This was too frightening, the complete darkness of the castle, the menacing voices of Galloper Thompson and Leonard Laurier, the fate of their friendship, it was too much to take in all at once, too much for his mind to handle. He gulped and took one last peek at Galloper Thompson and Leonard, then forced himself to refrain from peeking out again.

'Where are they?' Galloper said, sounding very cross. Morrigan swallowed nervously.
