Jessia followed Anoria's lead, still on edge. She looked towards the entrance of the cave where they'd heard the scream. Fresh blood glistened on blades of grass. She averted her gaze.

Marie watched her footing, careful not to trip or fall. She didn’t want to make any sort of loud noise, no matter if it would attract unwanted company or not. Step one, step two, step one, step two…

soon enough, they were around the mountain and could see the town in the distance. Anoria's eyes flitted back and forth, from the left to the right and back. "keep your guard up. we're going to be uncovered for a couple minutes. there might be zombies around, so when i give the signal, we run as fast as we can, okay?" she says, turning to the other two for an answer.

Jessia nodded tersely, glancing at Marie to see how she was faring. At any moment, any one of them could be bitten. The thought of Marie or Anoria being infected sent a chill down her spine. She almost suggested that they move slowly so they would be less noticable, but quickly realized that they didn't have the time for such precautions.
"Got it," she nodded. "Ready Marie?" -
