Devin sighed happily, body limp. Their tail stopped wagging an their ears lay flat on his head.

"What's wrong?" Sakura asked.

Devin shook his head. "Nothing." They responded in a monotone.

"Are you lying?" Sakura said with a laugh.

"No." Devin responded, still in a monotone.

Sakura petted him. "It's ok."

Devin sighed again. "I know." He mumbled, still monotone.

Sakura smiled. "Don't be like that."

"Like what?" He asked, still monotone.

"Nevermind." Sakura said.

Devin sighed and his voice changed a little. "Are you mad?"

"No." Sakura said petting him.

They sighed. "Okay." He started purring again, quieter and with a sadder note on it, but their tail didn't wag, like it normally would if they were genuinely happy.

Sakura sighed. "What's wrong?"

Devin sighed. "I'm fine." He muttered, obviously lying but not wanting to upset the kids.
