Tracer smiled. "Tracer. I earned he nickname because I make it hard for people to track me. My friends say I don't leave a trace."
George didn't even realize that Will was in the room. His anger was so strong that he saw nothing except for the walls as he paced back and forth
Dingoe nodded, waving to Wil. "He's p**sed." -
"That sort of contradicts itself..." Dream observed. "Are you good at tracing or tracking other people?"
"Clearly. I am too-" William said sourly. He walked over to the bed and sat down. -
Tracer laughed. "I'm good at hiding my trail and tracking. How do you think I found you?"
George sighed, realizing Wil was in the room. " It's not fair. I'm the prince!!! I should be king!!!"
Dingoe sighed. "Yes, George. But you're underage. Even when you're older, Schlatt isn't giving the kingdom up. That's obvious." -
"Well, I'd assume you just happened to see me and decided to say politely say hello-" Dream replied.
"There's no way Da- I- I mean King Henry would have put him in power. It doesn't make any sense." Wilbur had almost slipped up and called him Dad, which only happened in his weakest moments. He had thought of the King as a dad, but he was afraid George would be upset if he referred to him as such. -
"No. I've been watching you for a while. I've seen you steal. I run a gang here in the city. We steal from the rich, give to the poor. I've noticed you do the same. Would you be willing to join me, as you have no where else to go?" Tracer asked, trying to read Dream's body laungage, which he read as neutral.
"No. You're right, Wil. No way my father would do that. That's ridiculous. My father knew better!" George cried, coming and sitting back down on the bed.
Dingoe nodded, shrugging. "If your dad didn't, who did?" -
"No offense, but I don't think so." Dream said politely. "I usually work alone."
"There must have been SOMETHING off-" Wil exclaimed. "If anything, Ding, he would have put your dad in charge. That would have made sense." -
Tracer hummed. "I did that once until the captain of the gaurd caught me. He ripped into me and left me with this limp. Be careful. Once that man catches the scent of a thief, he doesn't let go until he catches that person. It's fine though. You're smart and tricky. You should be fine."
George frowned nodding. "Yeah, that makes sense. Why didn't he?"
Dingoe tapped his finger on his leg. "Blackmail maybe. He could've blacail your father, George." -
Dream tilted his head to the side. "I got away, easy." He said in confusion. "Jeez...I hope he didn't follow me-" Dream's eyes widened in panic, but no one could see. However, his voice was enough.
"Maybe..." Wil said. He leaned over and hugged his brother. -
"He followed you as far as you were to check your bag. After he went back. I watched the whole thing. Shocked he didn't search your pockets. He likes to double check." Tracer said with a smile. "Like I said, smart and tricky. Oh and by the way, have you heard that the prince isn't allowed outside his room anymore?" The small thief looked over at the palace, humming quietly.
George wrapped his arms around Wil and sighed. "I'd hate to think that my dad was blackmailed. That would be horrible!!!!"
Dingoe shrugged. "Again, I don't know. It could be anything..." -
"Wait- WHAT!?" Dream asked in shock. "He's locked in his own ROOM!?"
Wil nodded. "He sent me to do the weirdest and most self-absorbed s*** today-" He said angrily. -
Tracer nodded. "I overheard the Mapmaker's son saying that the new king told the prince to stay in his room until summoned." Tracer frowned, flipping one of the gold coins. "Which is just cruel. He's the rightful heirto the throne."
George gasped. "Nothing for the kingdom?"
Dingoe snarled. "No. He's a self absorbed piece of s**t. He only cares about himself and his way. What happens for him. Not about you or the kingdom!!!" -
Dream stood, lost in thought for a moment. "I think I'll be heading back now." He said. "It's getting late, even for me."
Wilbur nodded again. -
Tracer smiled. "Bye. It was nice meeting you. Hope to see you again soon, Dream."
George burst into tears again. "This sucks!!! My rightful kingdom ripped from my hands!!"
Dingoe sighed. He sighed quietly and wrapped his alms around George. "I love you, Gogy and I hate to see you this way." -
"See ya!" Dream called. He purposefully raced off and took a wrong turn. He didn't want Tracer to know exactly where he lived or anything.
"It's not even 'rightful kingdom' we need to worry about...The people- Schlatt will-" William broke off, his anxiety getting the better of him. -
Tracer chuckled, watching Dream leave off. He shook his head, moving towards the palace. He had an idea and carefully slipped through the fence and ran towards the palace. He climbed up the wall easily and peeked into each lit window, trying to find the prince's room. After about an hour, he found the room. He sat on the sill, looking in and watching the distressed prince.
George sighed. "Whatever. I can't do anything. I have no power. That's obvious."
Dingoe nodded. The conversation went on for a bit before the hybrid got a strange feeling. He glanced towards the window and saw a sillouette of a kid. He gestures for George to sit and moved towards the window.
