(hey, breathe, you’re okay)
Dream blinked after a moment, looking over to George and taking a deep breath. “Sorry.” -
(yeah, yeah, you're right....)
George shook his head. "Don't apologize. I just want you to stay here. Don't zone out." He said softly. -
yeah don, you got this :) you don’t have much longer left in the school day, right?)
Dream nodded, glancing around the room. “I’m trying not to.”
A few seconds after he said that, a nurse came out of the hallway leading to the back. “Clay Suntare?” She read hesitantly, projecting her voice slightly.
Dream glanced at George before slowly standing, nervously waving at the nurse.
The nurse beamed at him, waving for the two to follow her. “Come on this way, I can get you guys ready.” -
(two more hours. and the next is a study hall, so i can be here a lot.)
George stood with Dream, still holding his hand. "It's okay, honey. I will be right beside you the entire time." He said quietly. -
(okay! that’s awesome :))
Dream nodded, smiling over to George as they were led into a small examination room.
The nurse was very kind. She sat Dream down, got his height, weight -which she looked a little concerned about- and vitals, you know, procedure things. Once she was done, she entered something into the computer and wrote something down, leaving after telling them the doctor would be in shortly.
And the doctor was, not exactly helping with Dreams nerves, but there was no getting out of it now.
“Hello, Clay, it’s nice to meet you,” The doctor said, introducing himself and shaking both Dreams and George’s hand before sitting down next to the monitor.
“So I heard about your symptoms, and your eating issues,” The doctor said thoughtfully, glancing back and forth at the two of them. “And I have a hunch it might be some sort of anemia or iron deficiency. Does that ring any bells for either of you?” -
(yeah, it is. i'm still very shaky and nervous.)
George frowned. "I have heard of anemia. But do people usually pass out from that?" He asked, glancing up at Dream. He squeezed his fiance's hand tight, his fingers brushing the ring gently. -
(but hey, that’s okay. you’re doing great :))
“When it goes untreated for this long, it does, yeah,” The doctor stated, nodding. “Also a poor diet and insufficient nutrition can play a big factor in the fatigue and fainting that comes from it.”
Dream nodded, taking a deep breath.
“Now, anemia, in simple words, is just a lack of healthy blood cells, so I would like to draw some blood if that’s okay with you,” The doctor said gently, gesturing to Dream.
Dream paused, forcing himself to nod without even thinking about it. -
(yeah. but afterwards i'm walking my friend home and i'm not dressed for the 115 real feel outside...but neither are they...)
George squeezed Dream's hand. "Is there anything we can do to improve his appetite?" He asked softly. -
(oh i’m sorry about that don :()
“Well, there are pills that can help with nutrition,” The doctor said. “But to me this seems like a deep set eating disorder that won’t go away on its own. So I would suggest going to a rehab center or a therapist specifically for eating disorders.”
Dream took a deep breath, looking at the floor. -
(it's okay. i want to be with them. they're the one who lost their girlfriend recently. and they keep telling me to throw away the glass...)
George frowned, squeezing Dream's hand tighter. He nodded silently, trying to see Dream's face. -
(hey, i’m proud of you for wanting to be with them through a hard time, that’s amazing :))
“I’ll leave you two alone for a moment,” The doctor said, standing and grabbing his clipboard. “But someone will come in here in a little while to take the blood samples, okay?”
Dream nodded, looking up to the doctor. “Alright, thabk you.” -
(yeah. they need friends and ever since they finally reciprocated the family bond i felt towards them, i kinda need to keep them safe and be there for them.)
George nodded. "Thank you." He sighed, frowning thoughtfully and squeezing Dream's hand tight. -
(hey, that’s really mature of you, don :))
The doctor nodded and exited the room.
“f---, so this isn’t just a common cold,” Dream chuckled awkwardly, rubbing his temples. -
(is it?)
George frowned. "You're right about that. God, I really wish it was. This seems like too much." He mumbled. "I want to help you, but now I'm worried about stressing you out." -
(yeah! taking care of someone when they need it, and keeping them close)
“What do you mean?” Dream asked, glancing over to George.
